I really love the spezzatino with potatoes and the risotto and the lasagna. The price is really fair for what you get

How to start? They charged us almost 20€ more after we complained. They shouted at us several times, they were aggressive and very very rude.

The combination of affordable prices, friendliness and charme makes this little place in the heart of historical Milan a hidden gem. Choose something else if you are looking for nouvelle cusine, I guess the same menu has been served in the last 53 years.

Family run, old world trattoria with very good food. A real find among the trendy and expensive restaurants in Milan. Cozy atmosphere where you are well tended to by different family members. Located on a nice quiet back street. Excellent price point. Enjoy!

I asked for a risotto without Parmesan and without any type of cheese. The waiter told me that the cooks would have adapted the dish to my requests, but when I tasted the risotto, it was clearly with cheese. Stopped by Trattoria Burlagio for lunch in Milan. A lovely, authentic Italian restaurant with traditional food and red checked table clothes. The restaurant is fairly small and we were lucky to get in immediately as there ended up being a line outside with people trying to get in. The ravioli was amazing, and would recommend.

Locals' spot that we happened to come across while walking towards a museum. This is a very traditional family run restaurant. Great home cooked food. The risotto Milanese looked amazing, but I ordered one of the daily lunch specials which was ravioli with burra and sage. My friend had the lasagna. We ordered a side of spinach which was also delicious. Half a carafe of house red. We sat outside. GREAT.

For those who knew Milan before 2015, when the city hosted the World 's fair (Expo : be warned it 's changed. A lot. Especially in terms of eateries. Myriad new places, international as well as Italian, trendy, gimmicky, what have you, an over abundance of glitzy joints, heavy on the price, and light on the quality. It 's a jungle out there! Many traditional places have closed, especially the places we enjoy for lunch, a set menu, designed for city center workers preferably also those who work on Saturdays at a price as close as possible to €10 for a first and second course, with side of vegetables, and water, maybe wine and coffee too being replaced by these new offerings.
