"We had a very pleasant dinner in Il Mare, on Tuesday night at 19:30. This is early through Italian standards, and the only reason I marked the ambience down, as at this hour it was impossible to judge. By the way, it is an unpretentious restaurant serving delicious seafood. We started with free brunette, followed by filled sardines, oven baked sea roasts and mixed fried seafood, with grilled eggplants. Our server filled the Bream carefully and it was well cooked. The house white was pleasantly dry, and we ended with an excellent homemade Limoncello-Dauif. All this for under 60 euros, what we thought was very good."

Localino caratteristico al centro storico di Catania. Cucina familiare tipica siciliana, gustosissima e abbondante. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Cordialità e gentilezza. Da provare assolutamente.

It was amazing. The place is a small local restaurant with guest from the neighborhood. The food was fresh and super delicious, and the service was superb. I wish that I could visit this place more often. I really hope this place stays the same and I can come back somewhere in the future.

My wife and I thought that the seafood dishes were great. It was difficult to order but I guess it was a language problem. We were asked what we wanted to order. Then we would order. After we ordered we were asked again what we wanted. It was frustrating but once the food arrived, those issues were forgotten.

E' stato un pranzo in famiglia improvvisato. Già prima del lockdown ci eravamo ripromessi di tornare in questo locale. La cucina è rimasta identica: semplice, genuina, familiare. Alta la qualità dei prodotti utilizzati, prezzo nella media. Consigliato, soprattutto ai turisti che vogliono provare i veri sapori della cucina siciliana, come quella fatta in casa!
