extremely polite and sick house service. the food arrived on time and was fresh and hot. the price was lower than expected (we had anti pasta, pizza and tiramisy with drinks, red wine and coffee).

we had a great lunch here on the first day. only for two courses delicious honest eating. no frills and fast service. would recommend this place for a simple but lovingly made authentic Italian lunch.

I was in rome for my vacation and found this amazing place during my trip to the railway station. I would just like to thank all the mamma workers for their greeting, the beautiful and good eating and the time spent with them. sick back!haidi.

I think they were Italian family work for these peaceful. really original. even the menus are only in Italian language. that was a hard part. but some of them speak English. very simple, huge portions and beautiful taste. do not expect pizza. this is. more calamari and entrecote square. they only sell fresh fish. if they don't have it, they don't sell it.

We happened upon this cosy little trattoria as we were looking for an authentic place to eat. We had the euro set menu and were amazed by the value. The antipasti which we didn't realise was included in the menu, pretty much sealed the...deal for my meat-loving husband and we were pretty stuffed by the time it came to the pasta course. Definitely search this place out if you're in Rome and looking for authentic, reasonably priced food.

This restaurant offers an inexpensive fixed menu for lunch euros all included), consisting in a primo piatto of pasta, a secundo meat course, with a side dish (greens or potatoes), a bottle of mineral water, bread and coffee. A ¼ liter of house wine...costs euros. The service is efficient, and friendly, and the food is very much good home cooking. I can recommend the tonnelli (pasta). I had the roast pork, and my wife the open sausage meat. Both good choices. You can't go far wrong with lunch here, but it's pretty full by pm, so go early, i.e. about pm.

We found Trattoria da Mamma while walking around searching for a restaurant. We ate here two evenings. The first evening we chose the menu (for two or more people). We were delightedly surprised, first by the speed and then by the attractiveness of Antipasto...dishes placed before us on the table. These dishes were more than a nibble before the main meal was served The red house wine we were served was perfectly enjoyable too. This restaurant is efficiently managed by well trained, hard working staff, plenty of tables with check table cloths, attentive service, busy but thankfully not excessively noisy. Ci siamo capitati per caso dopo aver perso una prenotazione in un altro ristorante a causa del maltempo. Sabato sera, una famiglia di adulti e due bambini con tanto di torta in mano per festeggiate il compleanno della piccola che a quel punto si prospettava un fallimento.Nonostante il numero “importante” di persone, la proprietaria, gentilissima e super disponibile, ci ha fatto accomodare in un tavolo disdetto all’ultimo momento (un piccolo colpo di fortuna). Nonostante il locale pieno, la mancata prenotazione ed il Sabato sera che per i ristoratori porta sempre un po di scompiglio, siamo stati serviti ed abbiamo mangiato in tempi record i piatti tipici e super gustosi del posto.
