I was not very impressed when the chef dropped a piece of meat on the work surface and then placed it on my plate! I should have spoken up, as that is unhygienic for a restaurant!

I was not very impressed when the cook dropped a piece of meat on the work surface and then placed it on my plate! I should have spoken up, but that is unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint.

Had a lovely Sunday breakfast. A nice Sunday treat Love the potatoes with bacon and onion bits. Only issue was that the dishwasher had not done its job properly. The plates still had a gritty residue on them. I could not find a plate free...from this residue. Voir le carte

I and my friend came to a warm welcome by the staff. all employees seemed very competent. the manager louise was very friendly and entertained with us so that we feel very comfortable and greeted. would definitely be recommended to others, will definitely come...often maybe even regularly! thank you. toby carvery team x ~racheàl cheddàr

Arrived at on a Tuesday evening to be met by unfriendly staff. Restaurant was absolutely deserted. We were told that we couldn’t stay as we hadn’t booked and they hadn’t got enough meat!! This is the second time we’ve been to Talke carvery. Last...time the staff were surly too. We thought we’d give it another try. But we definitely won’t be returning.

I thought we had got past the cold food situation at this Toby, but yet again at the food was cold. Looked like it had been there since noon! Cobwebs on the ceilings again. Saw someone prodding all meats with a prod that...she did not wipe in between prods... Very unhygienic and if someone was allergic to one kind of meat, it could cause issues... lazy staff, standing around at the bar instead of watching to see when people are ready to pay. Toby car worstvery, we were. the personal was so unhappy. we had an breakfast and refillable coffee for two and don't cost us a bad price. there was no great choice of food, as there were in past. in other restaurants. the food looked good, but tasted and undercooked, and we hardly touched our food before we left. after half an hour it was very disappointed. came into the parking lot and saw an overflow of dirty water and fat she obviously fed out straight. would not recommend this restaurant.

today sat for lunch .to be honest, not in a long time. was greeted and shown to a table, the guy asked what we wanted to drink and then we waited. Then a young lady came and said sadly what they wanted. they want to drink!!!! we wanted a carvery so went to get our .es really looked nice the server on the carvery a young lady was very pleasant and I have about the size of the yorkshire pudding. another employee tested the temperature of the food that is good. I have to say that we both enjoyed eating that it was delicious and hot. Apart from the emptying that was dry and not nice .staff were pleasant and I saw a lot of cleaning of tables that is good my only little complaint is that we have a...

Today I had lunch at this restaurant, and to be honest, it had been a while since my last visit. We were welcomed and seated at a table, where the server asked us for our drink orders and then we waited. Eventually, a young lady came over and took our drink orders. We opted for the carvery and it looked really appetizing. The server at the carvery, a pleasant young lady, served us and I was impressed by the size of the Yorkshire pudding. Another employee checked the temperature of the food, which was good to see. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals as they were delicious and hot.
