"we visited here on the jubilee Friday with a group of friends for our regular meeting. did not have to a good start a table in the opposite that we had requested 6 weeks ago was not available although the pub warnt busy. we. were shown at the back of the restaurant and had to ask immediately after switching off the air conditioning system. the opposite was freezing. three of our group groups stood up to go into the carpenter, as there was no one. only to be totally ignored by the young girl who is served, who moved around the diners, she has nothing filled up when we were served, were still quite low. a short moment I will not be, or just let me turn off from the personal would have made the situation easier. when the young lady decided that we waited long enough, it must have been 10 min, our drinks had arrived on the table) she took a teller and put a yorkshire pudding on her without asking me what I want! I didn't want a yorkshire, though I wanted something gammon, but that was empty. I asked if she would get more and she said she would go and check! another 5 minutes wait. sometimes they wonder if they were using agency staff that we do not see any of the regular employees. to complete the evening, we were charged a premium for the meal, as it was technically a bank holiday, our mistake, it was certainly not worth the money."

I thought I would give this place another chance as I had it for the last four years because of the bad standard of the food she serves, I gave it all that she can eat, I had to pay for my breakfast before I. forget it, I went to the servedheke, the speck had too long under the lamps, and it was a dark color and dried (some kitchen parters that could be covered.

The breakfast was lovely and we all enjoyed the food. But my experience was slightly tarnished by the rude lady who was replacing the food dishes. She was very rude to me and although she may of been busy it didn’t warrant the way she...spoke to me. I didn’t say anything at the time because I didn’t want to spoil my daughter’s special breakfast experience. Food Lady

The staff were stood talking to each other most of the time we were there. The carvery didn't taste very nice. The meat was fatty. The potatoes were solid and the gravy had a weird taste. We only ordered a fudge cake for dessert and...it took 40 minutes to come out. We thought this was the best carvery we had been to, but we will now be finding somewhere new to go to.

Just off a busy in road but plenty of parking onsite, traditional Toby Carvey outside hard to miss. ample room and seating inside with a nice open fire feature. Reception staff were warm and welcoming, hostess was super friendly and an asset to Toby really wonderful....However the Chef seemed distracted and the food was sub par with a reduced offering and stuff being luke warm except the potatoes which were almost raw. We skipped the Dessert and left ,we won't be back its just not very good at all . I can't recommend this venue

Visited for the first time in ages and what a disappointment. Great welcome and quickly shown to a table, sadly all downhill from there. Poor young lad doing his best to take orders, take peoples' money and clear tables so a bit of a wait...to order but he was very pleasant hen he got to us. Big mistake was my ordering a yorky wrap with pork, stuffing and roast potatoes. Was told it would take about 10 minutes, not a problem as I thought it would be freshly made. Wrong! When it came, it was nearly cold and soggy and even the roast potatoes were barely warm. The waiter took it away promptly but when it came back, there was barely a difference. Obviously, the chef's idea of hot and mine differ...

I have visited toby carvery in chaddesden in many places in the past both for breakfast and dinner and this review is based exclusively on my last visit about a month ago. I visited as part of a special offer I believe was. Half-price carvery makes it £3,75, the honest is incredibly worth for money. I decided to gammon and bark followed with a huge yorkshire with my choice of veg, I chose bark meat drops bratkartoffels, kartoffels, mac and cheese, flower cabbage cheese, carrots, green bean and filling. let me tell them I didn't hold back on the part, which is fantastic. the veg was all boiled to my taste and had a light bite that gammon was beautiful, unfortunately bark was quite hard, the y...

"My friend and I wanted somewhere different to go for some late lunch and so we decided on the Cosy Club. Although my friend had been once before a while back, it was my very first time visiting. As you walk in, you're greeted with an almost vintage-y feel and it's great! Old paintings upon the wall and retro furniture too, but that's not all. Ascending the stairs to the top, we got to the first bit of the club which is the bar area and what a fab area it is too, to relax and enjoy and Beveridge or two. Further down is where the restaurant is located and a lovely restaurant it is too. Very ornate with a fancy oldy-worldy vibe, almost like stepping back in time. The decor and glass chandeliers make for a very luxurious, almost palatial feel. The staff were really friendly and showed us to a table where after a short time of waiting, we had water poured for us before choosing what we'd like to eat and drink. I decided to go for the dirty chicken burger and I'm glad I did. The portion size was great, and there was plenty going on in the burger; the flavours were tantalising! Everything was cooked really well and tasted good (oh and the berry cider they have is certainly worth a try! After spending time enjoying our meal, we paid for the bill and were able to make our way, with our drinks, to the bar area to take a sit and enjoy the vibe further. I would certainly recommend the Cosy Club to anyone looking for something different, with a cool vibe and great food. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant and enjoyable visit, will certainly be returning! :"
