This place has a great atmosphere and brilliant service. I hosted 20 people for my birthday in December and the staff were super friendly and did a fantastic job all evening. Thanks to the whole team for a great night and for making us all feel so welcome hope to be back soon!

This restaurant is an excellent spot to enjoy a beer! They have a wide variety of options and the staff is extremely helpful in finding one to suit your taste. After visiting the nearby Imperial War Museum, we had a wonderful Sunday roast at this restaurant. I ordered the roast lamb while my husband had the roast pork - both dishes were fantastic. The roast carrots, parsnips, and potatoes, along with the crispy Yorkshire pudding, were also delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place.

This is a lovely little pub with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were friendly, quick, and cheerful. I was delighted to hear them singing. The food was tasty, although I would suggest tossing the rosemary and parmesan with the chips before serving to ensure they are well coated. I particularly enjoyed the arancini. I am a fan of tzatziki, but I'm not sure if it pairs well with calamari. Regardless, it was well-made with a thin batter.

After visiting the Imperial War Museum, a friend and I stumbled upon the Three Stags for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and affordable food offerings at this gastropub. We started with bread and olive oil, followed by a roasted beetroot and goat cheese salad, along with refreshing Pimm's lemonades. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely. This pub is a gem! It's conveniently located near the Imperial War Museum, making it a perfect spot to stop for a pint and a snack after a day of exploring. The prices are reasonable, slightly higher than some other places but understandable given the location. The staff is friendly, with a particularly pleasant bartender who always had a smile. The restroom was a bit dark and I couldn't find the light switch, but it did have a disabled toilet which was appreciated. However, the toilet didn't flush properly and there were no hand dryers or paper towels, so I had to use toilet paper to dry my hands.

This is all about the way in which the manager and staff make a pretty grim location (busy junction, functional streets etc) utterly forgettable once you step inside and receive such a warm welcome. We had booked for Sunday lunch and had a table reserved for us upstairs which was pleasantly laid out. The manager was attentive and wore a beaming smile. The actual roasts were really very good indeed and despite it being near 3.30pm, the full menu was available. Dessert was absolutely unnecessary but having spied an example downstairs, they proved a must have order. Many years ago, this restaurant had terrible food. A Dutch tourist described it to the oblivious owner, who asked him how his meal was, as the worst burger he had ever tasted. They have either changed ownership or had a food revelation. I believe it's the former. My wife and I came for Sunday dinner and despite the busy evening with many reserved tables, we were accommodated. We both enjoyed the beef roast, which was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of beef roasts, but the Yorkshire pudding and horseradish ice cream combination won me over. The desserts were particularly good, with a variety to choose from.
