"Won 't be visiting again. Ordered roast dinner, which was inedible. Beef was all fat. Roast potatoes like bullets, couldn 't be cut. For some reason beetroot was on the plate. Never known with a roast before. Yorkshire hard. Some round rock hard thing...we assume perhaps celeriac?! Couldn 't tell as was tasteless. We had 2 mouthfuls at most and couldn 't eat it. Told the waiter, who 's attitude was a lot to be desired. He stated, oh well they were last two ,so probably been sat an hour! We said we would pay for the drinks and leave. One of which was a carafe of wine, which had just a small amount taken from it. The rest of the wine was still in the carafe. I stated I 'd pay for a glass. He said no you won 't, there 's nothing wrong with the wine! . I said then if I 'm paying, I 'll take it with me , as was £17. He handed me a takeaway coffee cup with a hole in, to carry my wine! "Another visit to Petworth House and Park, which is looking spectacular-once round the lake and time for tea........With a gluten free husband looking forward to tea and cake, the only option for him was a gluten free brownie, or a pre packaged millionaire’s shortbread-bit disappointed at the choice EVERYWHERE does Brownie’s -not very original NT! What’s wrong with a nice sponge GF-it’s not difficult and the gluten eaters would not be able to tell the difference! Nothing was marked GF on the help yourself table? My cherry scone was good, big and moist-thumbs up for that. Don’t expect pre packaged cakes in a National Trust tearoom... how would other allergy sufferers get on?"

"We booked ahead had the lunch outside in the lovely sunny garden ordered a local Upperton fizz to sample the local vineyard! Really good bubbles dry crisp! We were all hungry looking forward to our Sunday roast dinners , we chose chicken roast beef dinners with all the trimmings of roasties , veggies Yorkshire puddings. Unfortunately the roast chicken dinners had been waiting for us … it was hard to cut everything incl the veg they had no cauliflower cheese left so the “ extra veg” was leeks in butter which actually was the only thing easy to cut eat! Soo soo disappointing the beef was defin underdone even though the order had specifically been requested to mid well done … we did hear that this has happened before re the cauliflower/ cheese ! An order was given for desserts that was the best food of the whole meal Bakewell tart with cherry’s that had been marinaded in cherry liqueur really good with vanilla ice cream ! However I very much doubt if we will be back not happy customers at all !"

"A Good Find Brilliant find ! I needed a pub to meet with friends but we all live in different directions Chichester, Guildford and Leatherhead, on searching for a good location I found The Stag Inn. On arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming, in this traditional old style village pub. Service was excellent and the food was of good quality and very reasonably priced. We chose the prawn and avocado sandwich which came with salad and good quality homemade chips all for £10. If you need a good friendly pub which is a little off the beat and track then try this one, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed."

"I dined at E Street 6 months ago and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, with a large number of staff on hand. The menu had a wonderful Italian theme, and we felt well taken care of from the moment we arrived. However, when I returned on September 23, I found that the menu had changed to offer fewer options. While the food was still tasty, the service was slow and the overall atmosphere seemed more low-end than during our initial visit. It appeared that there were not enough staff, especially in the kitchen. While I enjoyed my first visit, if this is the new normal, then the quality does not match the price and I would not go back. I would not recommend it."
