wonderful friendly service, food hot tasty and nicely displayed,really helpful staff thankyou ,we will visit again

we went on a Tuesday and the service/food was excellent [we have been for xmas meal a few years ago again brilliant] we also come for Sunday Lunch which i dare anyone to complain, wonderful ty xx

First time visiting, sat outside due to covid. The man on the door greeted us straight away, very friendly service from all staff. Very attentive. Food was great, the homemade chips especially. Would definitely come back to see the inside next time! Voir le carte

Service alright but not up to scratch. Forgot cutlery to desert and forgot starter. Ice cream was our chosen pudding and it contain ice crystals. It looked like the ice cream has been sat in the freezer for months. Came home and have been really...poorly Won’t be returning Not happy at all !!!!!!!!!!!

Went to pub today for sunday lunch ordered drinks no one told us we needed a ticket for carvery so.would not serve us with out one so.had to.go to bar and get ticket all carverys ive nern to. Have never had to get a ticket...for carvery food was good but dont think we would go again trying some were else next sunday

Another amazing meal from The Woodside. We went in steak night and had a perfectly cooked to order steak with home made chips. We also ordered kids meals which were huge with free icecream. The service can sometimes be on the slow side but...the staff are lovely and really do try hard. The chicken with sweet chilli jam is amazing and one of my favourite choices. They also do a special burger with some proceeds being donated to Ashgate Hospice. Voir le carte

Post eating out with friends on Friday June, we decided to call in for a drink or two at The Woodside. After self checking in, we were greeted by a male member of staff with I am closing in ten minutes This was just...after Their website says open until In seeing our disappointment, he then said If you want a drink, I will stay until We politely declined. We were under the impression that the hospitality industry needed all the custom it can get.?

We visited as a group of friends for dinner and drinks. Some much-needed social time after a near-eternity of lockdown. The drinks service was appalling. There was only one woman behind the bar, having a total meltdown, while a small collection of teenage newbies wandered...around clearly not having a clue what they are doing. I do hope this is a temporary problem as this is our local pub and I’d like to be able to go back. However, with service this atrocious, I won’t be doing so any time soon.

Went for lunch with my husband, pub reasonably quiet. I felt the bar staff were more interested in serving two builders than us! We were asked to move from the table we chose because ‘a bigger group might come in’. My husband ordered pie.. which was good, however nothing else was the chips undercooked the peas and carrots over cooked and tasteless. I ordered salmon presentation appalling. The new potatoes hadn’t been prepped- the ‘eyes’ were all evident, again the veg peas and carrots overcooked and inedible to my palate. A lemon wedge had been placed on the salmon and the whole lot smothered in a tasteless sauce. The salmon it’s self was ok until I got a mouthful of skin and scale- only hal... Voir le carte
