very much improved. over the years the windhover has had its ups and downs but as of today the food we ate was delicious and highly recommended. great atmosphere and very busy this pub has always been a local favourite. delicious food and great staff

Came across this pub after a walk round Brixworth Country Park. Very nice pub too. We sat in the garden with our dog. Dogs are also allowed in the bar area of the pub. Food was really good. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Would recommend.

Had meal there a few days ago and enjoyed. Today, No food being served unless you book on app. Tried on app and it says fully booked. Really? I think they were short staffed and used app to close out to food. Literally the place was empty. Disappointed. Next time just say short staffed

Fantastic food. Great service. Lovely country pub. Would 100% recommended making a visit to The Windhover. Such a lovely pub with wood fires and an all-round good atmosphere. Food selection is good, price is fair and quality is very good. We took our newborn daughter and the staff were also very accommodating.

During our last visit, we encountered several problems, but tonight everything went smoothly. Despite being 'out' of several items, it didn't impact our selections. All of our meals were delicious. The service was prompt, and the staff was friendly. While it was a bit pricey, that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays.

Nice friendly staff, attentive. Maybe more choice of non alcoholic beers. Food nicely presented, but have always found for me anyway) roast dinners always far too much food. My partner said the best tasting sea bass he had ever had. Such a great idea mini desserts with a coffee or drink of your choice. Always had a lovely meal at The Windhover. Thank you

The windhover, Brampton Lane, Chapel Brampton, Northampton. This is a McManus pub, it’s very pleasing on the eye. It definitely looks the part. I feel like you need to drive here, as it’s a bit out of the way.. although it has a lot of passing traffic. This is a very dog friendly pub. Lots of dog biscuits and dog bowls of water are available. Which is why we visited here. I don’t think I’ll be a returning customer. The food was expensive, it was served quickly, but unfortunately it was very hot. The plate of food looked impressive. But the content wasn’t very good. Nobody came back to ask us if our food was ok. I asked if it was okay to leave my car in the car park as I was cycling the Brampton Valley Way and returning for a late lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. When we returned at 2:30pm, we were simply told to take a seat and order at the bar. Unfortunately, we were not given menus, so we had to return to the bar to collect them. The food arrived quickly, and we enjoyed our two courses from the lunch offer. However, after we finished eating, we waited for our plates to be cleared and asked if we wanted anything else, but no one came to check on us. The last time I visited here was for lunch before the latest refurb, so decided to visit again for an evening meal. We booked a table for 8pm on Saturday evening. On arrival it was busy at the bar and had to wait a while for someone to arrive to seat us at a table. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and had a choice of tables to sit at. We ordered drinks and the waitress was very pleasant, professional with a warm smile. We ordered one pate and a side bread to share between the three of us. It was plenty albeit the pate portion was on the small side.
