"Some weeks ago, after a night out at this pub, we rebooked for tonight. We invited some friends to join us. On entering the premises, it was like walking into a nightclub. The place was packed and there was live entertainment from a couple, who were far too loud for the size of the room. Patrons were shouting to be heard above the noise. Many were a bit worse for wear. I am very surprised that the management didn’t call us prior to our visit, to explain that a St George’s Day Beer Festival was planned for tonight and ask whether we still wanted to eat there. This was possibly the worse night out we’ve ever had. We couldn’t even hear ourselves speak. There was even a separate menu for Beer Festival customers. Our meals weren’t as enjoyable as we would have liked; my Chicken Kiev was chewy. Overall a very disappointing experience."

Great pub, made to feel like regulars even if it was our second visit, Matt looked after us so well, thanks to Lisa too on the bar ! Food was excellent deffo will return as we are in kingsthorpe.

food was well below par not happy cost £33.90 for 2x sunday lunch witch were chef special i would hate to have a dinner that was not on the special list complained nothing done to make me feal better will not return

On a rare weekend when I was free I turned up on spec to see if I could get a Sunday lunch. I was warmly greeted and shown to a table. The 3 course lunch was excellent (pate, roast pork, crème brûlée) and the service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be eating there again.

We visited for dinner with friends on Saturday evening as we had heard the place had undergone new management well it didn't disappoint! Lovely relaxed atmosphere, great attentive staff and the food was delicious.. I had the Fish Chips the chocolate brownie absolutely delicious. Will be back very soo soon..

Today 19 of us had a set menu lunch at the White Horse, prior to the event I had excellent communication with staff . On the day our tables were all set and the bar service, table service was superb thanks to Matt and Tom. Our food came out on time and all together with no delays and was fresh and delicious. Our desert was very pretty and the brownies were great. Some of us were made to feel so welcome we stayed longer and avoided the rain. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel so welcome. THANK YOU
