very friendly pub. excellent service. eat plentiful and tasty, better than average pub duck. good value for money and definitiw a visit.

Good decision to eat here. Jenny very friendly welcoming. Had cheese onion pie and chips. One of the best I've had; pastry and contents delicious quality stuff! Would definitely go again.

enjoy here on a Saturday dinner before check-in in the nearby premier inn. had a few drinks and the brisket bao bungalows . really delicious eating clean pub friendly staff. again visited on Saturday night pretty busy worth visiting in the environment

Called in today with another couple, the staff were really friendly and helpful….the men ordered the pulled burger with fries and homemade slaw….both myself and sister in law had quesadillas….mind bbq brisket the other spiced chicken with fries an slaw….oh and desserts to…the food was...lovely…..will definitely be calling again. Booked a table for Sunday evening on the day, when we arrived we bought drinks and chose a table it was then the server came and advised that half the menu was off and they had burgers but no cheese. Ordered what limited food...they had but then the food came without the sauces which were also out of stock… we were charged full price. Won’t be coming back I’m afraid. Waitress was very friendly

When you first walk in, dont be put off by the decor as its to be polite a bit sparse, the food is well worth staying for. Limited Menu, but that is not always a bad thing, it means they can excel at what they...do have on there. I had the Mick Burger, excellent quality Beef Patties, fantastic Chips and a really tasty homemade Coleslaw, my Wife had the Homemade Steak and Ale pie which was beyond tasty, as was the Gravy served with it. This is not a fine Dining Pub, but the sort of place you come to for an excellent filling meal at a very fair price, we will be calling in again very soon.

We visited twice for meals whilst staying at the Premier Inn over the road. The choice was a little limited I think this was down to the fact its under new management but all the same it was still good. I had bangers and mash...and the wife has local home made pie. There was more than enough I struggled to eat all of mine as the sausages were presented in the Cumberland circular style and there was a lot of it. At £13 I did think it was a tad expensive but it was good. I would visit again the barman who looked after us had a beard I didn't get his name but he was very pleasant and helpful Voir le carte
