old-fashioned pub set at the side of the canal in bilsborrow. with old-fashioned I didn't mean it was stone or historical, but it's just plain.

entered here, while on the main house over the street. family of 5 and each of us loved it absolutely. large home made eating something different from their ‘run of the mill’ pubs, serving food and all of it absolutely faultless. wonderful staff too. thank you.

The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed, with weekend entertainment and delicious food. I definitely want to sit outside by the canal next time! I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5. Voir le carte

Lovely bar,very friendly staff and lovely beers .we sat outside on the canal in the sun.we ordered a pizza and it was excellent,delicious in fact.two girls on really made us feel at home so we will be back again. I arranged to meet friends who were visiting from Scotland at this restaurant in the lakes. I was expecting it to be more of a gourmet pub, but was somewhat disappointed. I ordered the ultimate burger, which was made with meat from a local butcher and was tasty, but overall I found the food to be very average. The service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. We chose to sit outside because there was no atmosphere inside. The coffee and tea were made with instant coffee and tea bags. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience. The prices were not particularly cheap and I found it hard to understand why the restaurant had received 5 star reviews. Voir le carte
