We came to celebrate a family birthday. We ordered drinks and cocktails and food. The bar people always were welcoming and friendly and always remembered our drinks order. I thought the food was the best meal I’ve had out in Reading in years!

I have to give credit where it's due. I've seen a lot of negative reviews about this place, but I decided to take a chance since I haven't been here in years. The fish and chips were the best I've had in a long time! The fish was outstanding and of great quality. The service was impeccable, and the prices were very reasonable.

Do not go there unless you want terrible service. Been there twice and had trouble both times. First time they served me frozen pizza and refused to refund. Next time we ordered desserts and they claimed not to received it on their system and refused to give a refund. I would advise to avoid at all cost. We were warmly welcomed by the bar staff, and Ryan provided exceptional service. He was incredibly friendly, and when he informed us that our desired item was unavailable, he offered alternatives in such a nice way that we completely forgot we weren’t getting our first choice! We truly enjoyed our visit. It was our first time here, and we will definitely return. We give it a perfect 10/10 and 5 stars!

Chronically understaffed. The food was very late in arriving and the chips were lukewarm, and the chicken was over cooked. The cheese and bun were both burnt. Only consolation was I got two of them despite only paying for one. Venue was quiet, and quite cold. Few staff kept apologising. No fish available there for weeks now way overdue to be fixed. I’ve been going here many years but our patronage will be reducing which is a shame is it is my local.

Our experience was disappointing. My husband ordered a hot dog with chili, but there was hardly any chili, and the hot dog was burnt—almost like charcoal. I ordered the mixed grill, requesting the steak to be well done, but it arrived red inside. We waited 50 minutes for our food, and unfortunately, it was inedible. The presentation of my husband's dish was low quality, and ultimately, neither of us could eat our meals. It was a waste of our Friday evening, and we left hungry. Wont be going back again. Had to wait more than 20 mins to get my drinks that were ordered on the app, in fact had to check that they were being done and they weren't. After an hour of waiting for food was informed that the kitchen hadnt started cooking it yet so wouldnt be able to tell me when it would be ready, still waiting for the money to be credoted back. This isnt the first time, in fact on my last visit waited an hour for food and had a booking cancelled last minute at Christmas which left us with nowhere to go. So wasnt 3rd time lucky and means that I wont try a forth time, used to be good but not the same since reopening after covid. and chnage of management..

Booked a table for 1-30pm was told you can’t order food as the chef opened up some new chicken which was a bad batch, didn’t need to know this just say chicken is off the menu, ordered a Pepsi which was flat asked for a replacement which was flat so I asked for a lemonade which was also flat so I took it back said to the lady in charge I don’t want this drink so she took the drink with no apology or offer of another drink but they took my money for this. We ordered food which after 50 minutes hadn’t arrived with a restaurant with only five tables in use this is ridiculous so asked for money back so did another family as they had a long wait for food which they said was cold when it eventuall...

We normally go to this pub which is reasonably priced and the food is normally really nice. Last night we had to wait two hours for our food and the portions were like kiddy portions as there was only a young chef on his own. We understand the lack of staff thing and was prepared to let it all go. However, after my friends got there meals after two hours, mine didn’t turn up after another 15 minutes. I realised then that they hadn’t a clue that they had forgotten my chicken tikka. By now my friends had finished their meals. I went into the kitchen and asked the chef if he was cooking my curry and he said he didn’t have one on his list. I demanded to see the manager who said she had only star... Voir le carte
