The Tropical Hut - Carte

This is not for everyone and we were not aware that the Boodle meal basically means you are eating off the table without knives and forks. We were a mixed group and thoroughly enjoyed the food, other than the crab that was not the best. The staff were pleasant and I can imagine that children would really enjoy it.

This place was recommended to me and this was my first visit. Ordered a savoury broth with rice noodles, beef, egg, chilli and vegetables. The presentation and flavours were excellent. Service was efficient and with a smile. The external frontage of the restaurant is not reflected in the menu and food... Well worth a visit and next Time I will have the boodle fight..

In September, my family and I went out for a meal and were excited to try the Boodle Fight. The amount of food we received for the price was incredible, especially the huge pork knuckle! Even though we ordered for two adults and our 4 and 8-year-old kids shared with us, we still couldn't finish everything. Because of the lockdown, our initial experience with The Tropical Hut was through takeaway, and it was truly exceptional! It was hands down the best takeaway I have ever had, surpassing many restaurant experiences as well. We enjoyed a true feast including crispy fish, logsilog (sausage), sticky chicken wings, king prawns, squid, crispy pata (slow-cooked pork knuckle deep fried), three types of rice, including Duman, and stir-fried vegetables. The meal was an absolute gem!

Came here for the boodle feast with extra green lipped mussels on a Saturday night and all of us were totally really really impressed by the entire experience. The food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, the service attentive and very friendly without being intrusive and the quirky exterior and decor intriguingly works. Lots of finger bowls and napkins made the boodle experience a breeze but don't just take my word, try it or something else on the menu ! I think the other reviews explain and show the boodle experience so well I'll leave it to them.

I only found out about this restaurant a few months ago and have been meaning to visit but never did. However, my daughter suggested a visit for her birthday and we agreed as a family. Wow!, We ordered the Boodle Fight, and what a brilliant choice. Served in the middle of the table and eaten with fingers (cutlery was available if required) it was a culinary delights. 3 types of rice, prawns, squid, vegetables and topped with a large pork knuckle. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was clear to see that the staff were friendly and helpful and intent on making sure we had a good time. I can't wait to go back again, absolutely brilliant! I finally had the chance to visit this restaurant and tried the boodle fight. I am so happy that we decided to go! The amount of delicious food was incredible: amazing seafood, squid, tasty fried fish, perfectly cooked pork, and three different types of flavorful rice, among other dishes. It was a great social activity to enjoy with friends. I noticed that I was eating more slowly when using my fingers. We stayed for a while, chatting and soaking in the atmosphere. I have twice been here with my family and each time we have had a 'Boodle Fight! ' Dont jump to the wrong conclusions! A Boodle Fight is a traditional Filipino dish, much loved by the Filipino military. It is absolutely delicious, really not to be missed and a completely different dining experience. The meal, consisting of meat (pork) sea food, fish, rice and vegetables is heaped in the middle of the table on banana leaves and you help yourself eating with only your fingers. We recently visited The Tropical Hut. There were 4 of us and we booked for the Boodle Fight! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Long banana leaves were laid on the table, and after we'd ordered and received our drinks, the lovely waitresses began bringing out the food! Alongside the standard Boodle Fight, we also ordered crab as well as an extra, and it was incredible and the crab was massive! The food was super tasty.
