Lovely pub. Open fire. Food was fantastic. Cant wait to go back.my kids loved it. There are swings in the garden that my boys enjoyed for hours

Could not recommend more! The food was out of this world and the service was outstanding. The landlord was welcoming and greedted us warmly as we arrived. Will definitely be visiting again and bringing everyone I know!

We live in Northants so regularly eat in pubs all over the county (its one of the joys of living here! . We have been to the Star under previous landlords, but not the current ones. Based on recent TA reviews we thought it was worth giving it another go.

Great pug building wise used to live in the Village now go with Friends fo a weekly pint .Landlord has a lack of charisma , failing to do basic ‘Landlord Etiquette’ greeting people who are spending money in his business.I know the pub business is hard but some landlords really need to be customer friendly.This Landlord is not.

Had heard good things about this pub so thought we’d try it, welcome was friendly, service was good however the food was only average, would have expected a better standard for the price, desert of apple rhubarb crumble was nice, however couldn’t taste any rhubarb plus it came with the smallest pot of custard I’ve ever seen, at over £6 I expected more.

We are just back home from a wonderful delicious Christmas lunch. The meals here will take some beating with quality fresh food and price, I am yet to experience any better.The welcome, service and food are way better than I have encountered at any other establishment. Well done to all the staff. Thank you Nikki and Steve. We will support you in every way to keep The Star Inn open in these depressing times. To everyone out there read my reviews....come and support your local village inn.Use it or lose it.

The Star has everything to recommend it:, welcoming and friendly staff, cosy bar and seating area, small dining space, larger dining room. My group of thirty was booked for lunch after a very wet walk. The tables in the larger dining room were laid out very attractively and joy, beautiful, white cloth napkins. It is no mean feat to serve a large party, so well done Star Inn team. The food was good quality, good portions, very well presented and served on hot plates. Super attention to detail. Many thanks.

New chef Karl t starting at Star inn sulgrave with an exciting new menu, with a focus on socially sustainable and locally sourced products. Starting on 7th November 2019. This will be one to watch. I got amazing feedback while covering the current chef 's holiday. Im very excited to except this amazing opportunity. The current owners nikki and Steve have been keen to get me on board and are behind my vision for fresh locally and sustainability. It is an amazing country location and Im very excited to take this restaurant to the next level.

Heard there was a new chef so was excited to try out. Was welcomed by a very friendly lady, offered drinks and was shown to our table in a very nice area of the pub. Had been to the pub before under the old landlords so it was a nice surprise to see all of the changes! Was well looked after by a lovely young lady. Was made awear when order was taken that there would be a wait due to a large party that was about to served, but didn’t realise this would be 40 minutes for starters.
