"I was with my diving friends out for a drink. We were in Holyhead for the weekend to do some diving and training. We didn't choose this pub initially but our regular had closed permanently. I think we were all a bit out of our depth here! As mature adults it was pretty obvious we had landed ourselves in a young persons bar where they were getting up to young persons things. We had one drink and left. The local police officers were present outside chatting socially and having a laugh and joke with the pub goers. I was going to go the toilet but I decided to leave it till I got back to our digs! The gents was extremely busy with a lot of coming and going? It was busier than the bar! No not for me Thank you. I suppose if you are in your late teens, early twenties and have a thing about regular trips to the Gent's toilets!"

Food was good beer was good. Beer was good. Shame they do not do coffee as they do food. Also, not allowed to bring a coffee in bought from the shop across the road. According to staff, brewery don't allow it. I've worked in pubs for over 50 years and first I've heard that. But as they say in life, first for everything. Service: 4 Location: 5

I was at the Stanley Arms for my second time. The barman is very friendly and helpful. I had to cracking pints of John Smith. Food drinks: Drink is cheap I Don know what the food is like but I did have a look at the menu and it's impressive. Maby on my next day trip to Holyhead I'll grab a bit to eat in the Stanley Arms. Needed an evening meal in Holyhead, didn't want spicy food as sailing next day. This pub was about the only place providing an excellent range of pub grub. Landlord was a top bloke very friendly and chatty with a sharp wit and recommended the fish and the pork chops we is what we both had and both meals were outstanding. Good range of drinks and food worth a visit. Rooms: 4

Bar closes earlier than advertised, no food was served. rude staff the room was below average, light in the bathroom didn’t work and the beds were ancient along with the room. Rude staff member banging on the door to scream at us to checkout 45 minutes before checkout time at 9:45am was not ideal either, on the door it clearly stated 10:30am. It was also advertised as a B B but breakfast was not even entertained and was not granted time to shower. I realize it is a small town but courtesy and customer service, and overall property management could greatly be improved.

Clean room, loads if tea and coffee facilities rather than the usual 2 of everything Good hot water, strong shower but decor in tge room tired and personally i found the bed mattress to be a bit thin and lumpy.. There is loud music on a Friday and Saturday until midnight which wasn't clear on the website so either take earplugs or go and join in ! I would stay again....it was good value and a good location ... Good price znd oarking and the back Food drinks: Can't really comment as despite being a resident, and having checked in at 7.30pm after a long drive, u arrived a few minutes after 8pm to be told the kitchen was closed... disappointing...

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
