We were recommended by a friend and what a great recommendation too. The best Sunday lunch we've had for years! We definitely be returning, fresh cooked tasty food and amazing service from really friendly staff...thank you so much

What a lovely pub, very cosy and very personable. The staff are very attentive with their service and make you feel very welcome. I am a pescatarian so I sometimes miss out on all the good stuff that comes with a Sunday dinner ie. rosties..., cauliflower cheese etc

overnight in our residential property on the way to peak district. absolutely filled after our beautiful Sunday dinner was all hot and tasty we mailed sam to book our parking and table and she ensured that we were good...holt, after I would recommend this stop to fellow passengers Voir le carte

I came here with a friend for a tee the other week. eating is of a similar quality as weatherspoons, it felt microshaft and salat tasted old. the staff looked miserable and often gathered behind the bar to go. it sees. popular with local but not so welcoming for newcomers. will not come back.

I don’t often go out for Sunday lunch as I make a pretty decent one myself. Have just come home from Spring Gardens having had one of there sharing platters OMG it was stunning . All the food beautifully cooked hot, fresh and very delicious...The staff were lovely. All covid guidelines in place great value for money. Will definitely go back

that was our half stop on a good walk around werneth low, compstall and marple. we all enjoyed eating beef, fish, cheese and beetle cake (and sausages for our dog). a little wait, but it's worth it. probably a little more expensive...as suggested by ta, above. good choice of ales in glorious condition. the young woman who serves is a great advantage for this place. I had high expectations for this place and it did not disappoint! Great choice of starters, finally narrowed it down to the black pudding stack and it was epic! The roast beef Sunday dinner was even better!! The Yorkshire was perfect, the roasties were buttery...soft and it came with great choice of veggie sides. I could have drunk a full jug of the gravy too. Can’t wait to go back and try some more!!

My husband and I called in on a whim, having lived in the area and never thinking of calling in. It was the best decision ever! The service is amazing with a very comfortable atmosphere even in these ‘COVID’ times. I ordered the roast dinner...and my husband the steak. Both meals were simply amazing. This is the best food we have had out in a very long time. We cannot wait to bring the rest of the family for the Sunday roast sharer! Great food, great service, great value. Simply a must if you are in the area.

We were lucky enough that the wonderful Sam and her incredible team offered to host our wedding reception at the amazing spring gardens pub...we had a small, intimate and very Covid-secure reception and it was just perfect in every way. What a place!! The food...for our special sit down meal was utterly delicious (thanks to the very talented chef Jerry), especially my vegetarian lasagne (so many amazing vegetarian options here Sam and her team went above and beyond to make our special day perfect, sectioning off a room in this lovely pub for us, helping us decorate the whole room, even entertaining our toddler so we could eat!
