First time today coming to spread eagle and we were so impressed with everything! The staff was so lovely, the food was incredible and fresh, the play area is great for kids and loved the atmosphere! We made a last-minute decision to host a family reunion for 6 adults and 4 children at this restaurant, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Discovered this lovely place by accident on our way home Saturday night. The food was great as was the service and ambiance. Excellent value for money. Will certainly be visiting again. Just pulled off the A3 for lunch, and chose Liss because it was so close. What a find in The Spread Eagle! Beautiful quaint country pub in a little village. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Beautifully presented delicious food. Will definitely go back, and next time with the whole family, to make use of the extensive children's playground at the back. Service: Dine in

If they are ever nearby, we will definitely give it a try again. The food was amazing! From the starters to the dessert—just wow. We had the Camembert plate, which was incredibly rich and very generous (enough to share among several of us). The fish torte was fresh, creamy, and a hearty option for the colder months. Even though I was stuffed by the end of the meal after enjoying all the delicious cream desserts, I can't emphasize enough how warm and friendly the staff was. Our server (although I didn't catch his name) was very attentive and accommodating to my 1.5-year-old son. The next time we're on this side of the pond, we will definitely be back!
