"I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. When we arrived, the waitstaff told us that many items on the menu were already sold out. Despite this, we stayed and my partner decided to order the filet steak. Unfortunately, after we had finished our starters, the waitstaff returned to tell us that they had also run out of filet steak. This was frustrating because they let us order and eat our starters before informing us that the main dish my partner wanted was no longer available. We paid for our starters and left without receiving our main courses. Overall, I was very disappointed and would not come back to this restaurant."

Even though this is one of our favorite pubs, the service tonight was slow and there was a lack of attention to our order. Despite that, we still had a great time and will definitely be back as usual.

We’ve been here hundreds of times, and used to live in the village. Very pretty pub next to the brook with log fires in winter, great choice of drinks and a nice menu. Last night, exceptionally, the service was very slow and very poor. We waited an hour to place an order for dessert, and after chasing three times were then told the chef had gone home. We were given a discount with apologies from the manager, the Spread is usually so much better.
