Fabulous food, great prices, excellent portion sizes, the staff were friendly, helped in any way they could. Definitely recommend, and would come again.

We have been going here weekly for past few weeks, it really is the best food. I can honestly say every meal we have tried is perfect. Be warned the meals are huge. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back soon.

Lovely carvery, huge portions (even the kids! , just struggled to get anyone to serve us (maybe short staffed? would still recommend though, food is well priced and the place itself is nicely decorated. Dog friendly too, always a bonus!

We popped in randomly for food, it was not too busy and the staff were great. The carvery was really tasty and was a decent temperature, the chef was chatty polite the meat portions were great and a nice selection of vegetables. We would come back again and would recommend this pub to others.

Stopped here today on the off chance. We are not local, and were on route home after a trip away . Really lovely carvery , excellent choice of vegetables and meats . I'm very fussy with roast potatoes and these were perfect tasted fresh out of the oven. We left there very full , would highly recommend. We travel that way often. So will no doubt go back soon . Great carvery , great price .

One member of staff laying on sofa another drinking coffee ignored us as we waited at the desk. Eventually a man came past and asked if we had booked we said no and was told he would be back in a couple of minutes. We waited quite a while for him to come back. He gave us menus at a table and went away again after about 10 minuted he came and ased what we wanted. We ordered food and drinks. After waiting another 20 minutes our drinks hadn't arrived, but other larger groups that arrived after us has had their drinks and had eaten. If they didn't want to serve us why not just say they hadn't room instead of wasting our time. Very poor and unfreindly service. Unprofessonal

I come from the Black Country so have used some rough pubs. I don 't normally write reviews but have just left the Royal Oak on a Saturday lunchtime. My wife and I popped in for coffee and a drink, clean and well decorated, we found seats at the end of the room with another elderly couple. Waiting for my coffee, an older guy walks in and his first words were, at a volume that filled the bar F- hell, what are you F doing here. His three mates F told him. We were twenty feet away and there was no way you could pretend this wasn 't happening. Fifteen minutes of this and a lot other expletives, was enough, we left. I cuss when in the pub with male friends but never at a volume and certainly not...

Me and a friend went there today 13 June it was my 60th birthday my friend was treating me. I ordered a Mixed Grill priced at £22 and he ordered Surf Turf at £17 the service was ok but the food was disgusting everything was very over done even the steak which was meant to be medium rare and medium, and full of gristle the chips were the worst I have ever had and the half a pound of peas were like bullets. All the of 3 lots of customers also complained that their food was over done and simply not edible.
