"Sunday afternoon enroute to Wembley. First impressions of the pub were good lively crowd, fairly busy, good selection of food available and easy access to the bar. First pint of Gunness, though servied in a lager glass, was OK at least the bartender stopped pouring to let the drink settle. Decent pint. The second pint was a joke. Not only did I have to ask for the pouring of the glass be stopped to allow the drink to settle, but, as per my attached picture, the glass was absoluetly filthy. I couldn't finish the drink and shared my observations with one of the other bartenders. Really, an unacceptable situation. And if Diageo Guinness are serious about promoting their brand, then provide proper glasses to your customers, preferably tulip type glasses and not those fancy embossed ones. And if the guvnors of The Royal Oak are reading this, please take this as genuine feedback wash and dry your glasses properly and don't serve Guinness in what looked like Carling lager glasses."

The Royal Oak is the perfect place to experience an authentic London Pub. The staff was friendly and professional; the crowd primarily locals; and the food very good pub food.

Great atmosphere and delicious drinks in a typical English pub. The bartenders were very friendly and offered themselves samples of drinks that you did not know. The bar was empty, sometimes full, but always very nicely revived. We felt very welcome and would like to come back next time when we are in London!

We had our wedding reception at The Royal Oak, and from the moment we chose the Royal Oak as our venue, nothing was too much trouble and each of my (many emails was answered promptly. The team that took care of us on the day were exceptional! Additionally, the kitchen team (who are always 'backstage ' were incredible, from the varied menu we were given, to the food served to us on the day it was great. All our guests raved about the food. There really are no words to express how much we appreciated everyone 's hard work in making our reception so special.

Very traditional British pub with one of the best roast dinners in Marylebone. @Josh makes a perfect cosmopolitan! Thank you, Josh. The other guys are very friendly and don’t skip a beat when it comes up catering to the people no matter how busy it is. It’s nice to see how they work together. That’s what makes the place so nice to visit. The only thing is that if you’re not a fun of noise you can be a slightly bothered by the constant loud-ish chatter around, which makes a pub British. Other than that, very very enjoyable with friends. Thank you for the drinks and great food and hospitality.
