"I recently went to The Rose and Crown for a family meal and was slightly nervous, being a vegan, as they had no food available for me on their menu! Due to this, when I got there I spoke to them and they were extremely helpful in making a meal that I could eat and enjoy, which was very tasty so I was very pleased; I heard all good things about the food from family members too so very happy with that The staff are also very friendly, and there is an extensive gin menu which I was a big fan of. The only downside for me was the fact that you couldn't pay on card for anything unless you got cashback (and took the added fees). If they brought in card with no charge then it would be a 5* review!"

Brilliant service, lovely and clean. Good social distancing measures in place. The food was exceptional and completely exceeded our 'pub food expectations.

Amazing lunch. I had beef my friend had lamb. Lovely selection of vegetables lovely hot. Desserts were also very good all home made. Definitely going back.

Price is very reasonable, good portions and everything cooked wonderfully. Sauces seemed homemade, gravy pulled everything together. Traditional bread and butter pudding to finish was great. Voir le carte

really nice eating on Sunday afternoon. not enough of it though. how had 2 ask 4 more bratkartoffeln n kohl ... service was very friendly staff cant mistake it .... was a nice clean n home place will defo back 2 eat there very soon ....

Thankyou so much for a wonderful Christmas lunch, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our son daughter in law came down from Hull for Xmas, it's their favourite place to eat. Many thanks to all the staff, very polite and the service was first class. Best wishes for 2020. Clive Brenda Bell. Xx
