"We were looking forward to visiting for brunch after seeing Nowhere Man on social media. It was a good change to try pancakes made in an independent establishment such as this one. We did have to wait a long time for seating, but once we were in we had a great table location by the window. Our dog appreciated this too! We both chose to add blueberry compote to one of the tiers of pancake options; it's such a worthwhile consideration of the business to let you have a level of freedom in customising your own meal, while also offering pancakes with particular sets of toppings. Our pancakes were delicious and the portion sizes were just right. The drinks were nice too, particularly the Biscoff/Oreo hot chocolate which was not too sickly like the ones that seem to dominate other places' offering. We will come back here in the future — maybe closer to the opening time, so that we can avoid the wait for seating. Shows that it is so popular!"

"A wonderful dinner with my family catering to some very specific dietary requirements, all without complaints or raised eyebrows! We had a variety of poke bowls (some vegetarian, some with fish, some without alliums, etc. , each very different to each other, and everything that arrived was extremely fresh and delicious, exactly as ordered, and ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend Tropical Sushi we have never had a bad meal or drink here, and this was one of our best visits recently. "Cafe Quench is my go-to spot to work, study, socialize, etc. Amazing food and a great vibe, it's nice and quiet, with just the right amount of liveliness that gives it the sort of vibe you'd see from cafes/pubs in TV shows like Friends or How I met your Mother. I often spend hours here getting my work done, meeting friends, etc.The owner Soltires is nice Greek guy, very friendly, and makes a real effort to get to know his customers. The personalization has kept me coming back. The man has memorized all of my favorites and often knows what I'm looking for before I even open the menu. He even goes out of his way to have a chat with me about how everything's going personally.Very accomodating for all diets. For all my veggies out there I recommend the Chili non carne. It's perfectly seasoned and feels closer to a home made dish than a cafe dish. I also recommend the iced mocha which, in actuality, is an ice blended frappachino."

"I was with a friend and we sat outside as the sun was shining. We ordered two glasses of Merlot and decided to have roast beef. Jack the waiter was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We then decided the wine was so good we ordered a bottle and asked if we could take it home if unfinished. Jack said of course. It all went downhill from there. The beef was disgusting, the gravy was like water and had so much oil. The cauliflower cheese and all veg terrible including the roast potatoes. I had two mouthfuls and my friend, because she was so hungry had a bit more than me. She asked for a doggy bag for the meat and we were not charged for the roast lunch. We then ordered apple crumble and ice cream, which was edible but not much better. At least the dog enjoyed his beef!! We will never go there again, surfice to say....... but Jack was lovely"

"First, the good points; The front of house staff were delightful and the breakfast tea was superb. Unfortunately however the kitchen and food were hopeless. We waited close to an hour for our food to arrive, and then it was average at best. Meals described...in the menu as including two eggs, arrived with one. Welsh Rarebit on toast had solidified. Baked beans were a small pot of mainly juice. Disappointed we wasted a valuable hour of our bank holiday. There are many better places to eat in Hove."
