"We had a fantastic experience at The Red Pig over the weekend. This hidden gem has become a favorite for us since we discovered it a few years ago. If you're looking for a unique and fun place to eat in Pett Level or Winchelsea beach area, you must visit this restaurant. Look out for the bright red and cream converted Mercedes horse box with a big red pig outside. It's located in a large lay-by with plenty of free parking, outdoor seating, and limited seating inside the lorry. The views of the marsh are stunning and provide a picturesque backdrop as you dine. The menu is small but focuses on quality, with a variety of options including vegetarian dishes and tempting homemade cakes. We tried the Pett Leveller, a delicious pork sausage served in a bread roll with onions, coleslaw, and pickled gherkins. The food is freshly prepared to order, so be prepared for a short wait. The coffee was freshly ground and perfectly brewed. Andy, the owner, is a charismatic character who adds to the friendly and lively atmosphere. We enjoyed chatting with other diners and the attentive service from Dylan and Jamie. The restaurant is dog-friendly, and we loved the laid-back vibe. We can't wait to visit again soon! Fantastic place by the roadside at Pett. Have a Pett leveller (foot long hot dog) and watch the Marsh harriers flying over the watery terrain. Great food. Better service.

The best spot on Pett Level! Start your visit with a brisk walk, then enjoy excellent coffee and delicious food at this restaurant. I highly recommend trying the halloumi. The service is friendly and welcoming.

Ordered our meal and were left waiting for 30 minutes. We then watched others arrive, order and receive their food ahead of us. Mentioned three times that we had been missed to the young waiter. No apology given when we informed the waiter that we needed to leave and hadn’t received our food.

What a delightful surprise! The coffee was excellent, and the food had a unique twist that we loved. The Pett Leveller dish was especially amazing. After a beautiful, breezy walk on the beach, stumbling upon this gem of a restaurant was a treat. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon.
