The Red Door Deli And Diner

It’s not one of the best teas in Monmouth. It’s in a garden centre which is its best attribute, so keen garden lovers can go round afterwards.

Breakfast and tea was beautiful, and my Baileys cheesecake was delicious. Staff are polite and friendly and the diner is clean and vibrant. Would recommand a visit.

Popped in for lunch with a friend. We found the service to be uninviting and slow. The food was mixed, panini was fine, more adventurous dishes were not. Had a cake, thinking they looked more appetising, we were mislead. Hot drinks were disappointing, particularly the coffee. Don't think we will be hurrying back.

Came here for lunch. Had scampi, quiche and pate. Good price and freshly cooked. Nice and airy. They used to do a really good flat white but the last couple of times we have come here they have tasted like a very weak latte; like drinking hot milk which is a shame. Otherwise very decent. Will just stick to the other drinks in the future.

I used to be a regular at The Red Door Deli for lunch ever since it opened. However, the quality of the meals has declined over my last few visits. The lasagne, which used to be my favorite, was very disappointing. Today, I decided to try their Homemade Chicken Curry instead, but it was so bad that I couldn't even eat it. The curry was overly sweet and had a glue-like consistency. The chicken was tough and chewy, and it was clear that it was not homemade. Even the chips were overcooked and reheated. I used to highly recommend this place to friends, but now I will have to look for somewhere else for lunch. It's a shame - maybe they have new management or a new chef. Voir le carte

What a lovely Saturday treat!!! Popped out for a few bits and bobs at millbrook garden centre Monmouth and next door was just the loveliest deli/diner so we thought we would have a spot of lunch. The staff are Friendly and honestly can't do enough for you even though they are so very busy. The food is just amazing, all home made. I highly recommend the vegetarian Lasagna, fresh, piping hot and full of lovely flavours. my hubby had the home made steak pie with chunky homemade chips, he thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Quite often use the cafe after going to Monmouth, not sure we will again. Firstly, it was difficult to find a clear table but someone was clearing. I sat at a table and the lady came to wipe it. Without saying anything she sprayed the table covering me is spray and asked whether it went on me, which it did, she replied not with an apology but telling me it wasn’t bleach so would be fine! On to the food and drinks. We waited over 30 mins for 2 cappuccinos as the guy at the counter was taking orders telling everyone they were busy, but no one was making the drinks. On Monday, July 6th, my friend Chris and I, after riding thirty hilly miles on our road bikes, were in need of coffee and food to fuel our journey back to Garway. As we turned into the car park, we noticed that the Diner was undergoing some building works and was set to open the next day, which we were unaware of as we had not checked the opening times. Despite being closed, a very helpful lady could see that we were in need of sustenance and offered to make us a coffee. She not only brought out two coffees but also a large slice of Carrot cake and Victoria sponge. When I mentioned that we only had a £5 note taped to my phone for payment, she gladly accepted it.
