We always call here when visiting Castletown. Dog friendly Excellent coffee. Lovely food and even a resident robin. What more could you want

We enjoyed a heavenly freshly roasted pork crackling stuffing in a bread roll at this restaurant. We sat outside, admiring the large blooming fuchsia plant and washed our treat down with a nice cup of tea. Voir le carte

This fantastic cafe, run by members of the community, offers a variety of delicious food and drinks. The food is always fresh, although be aware that you may experience longer wait times due to the staff shortage.

Super tasting latte coffee and tea in takeaway cups. We sat and enjoyed them by the small stream in the sunshine in your patio garden. Polite service. Loved the flavour of your coffee. Other guests looked happy too.

We had to pre-book to fit in with their very good COVID controls. The beer was good, the food was good and so was the service. I opted to order from the waitress but there is also an option to order via their App. I enjoyed the evening and would go again. Voir le carte

We sat outside the back under an umbrella and shared a lovely scone and a super coffee after a gorgeous local walk to see the village and surrounding outstanding area It’s a lovely rest spot with a very amiable host .. The take away service made it all totally Covid secure too

I’ve been visiting the Ramblers for many years and you cannot visit Castleton without popping in for anything from one of there amazing cakes to there lovely coffees . Most of all there scones are the best you will ever taste ! This is a family run business and they are such a friendly family full of help and advice of the local area : Even better you can stay here overnight and in one of there beautiful traditional rooms . When visiting the Peak District what more can you ask for . Don’t miss a visit here .

My friends and I have visited the restaurant multiple times and have always had a pleasant experience. Recently, I had planned to host visitors from Australia, but due to lockdown restrictions in both the UK and Australia, they were unable to travel. Now that the restrictions have been lifted, my friends are arriving in the UK this Sunday. I reached out to Robbie at the Ramblers Rest to inquire about using an expired voucher due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, Robbie bluntly refused to honor the voucher, leaving me disappointed as I had hoped for a more understanding response.
