"Went here today with friends and had a lovely lunch. Not busy at all so not a great deal of atmosphere. Hope it’s not all the scary news stories. The tables were well placed out, the service was excellent. We had the croquettes to start..., simply delicious , we often bring them back fro Spanish markets (well did) these we on par. Great wine choices . Mains were all great , the burger was delicious, the salmon a great choice, the sausage and mash amazingly presented. They accommodated the older guests with child sized portion desserts. Love it here the staff were brilliant, as was the food. Well done we will be back, hopefully others will too."

"From the start of our meal to the end it’s fair to say we have all enjoyed a Fabulous Sunday Roast. Plenty of delicious food, we all had a mixture of starters or nibbles and everything was very flavoursome and fresh, the roast beef that the majority of us had was so good and at least two or three good slices of pink tasty beef, one of the party had the Pork Belly and actually thought the portion was for two and we had one veggie option which was a filo pastry parcel full of lentils and roast squash well seasoned and delicious, all accompanied with fresh vegetables and fluffy roasters and a huge Yorkshire pud and plenty of good gravy. All in all a really lovely meal with fantastic service in a relaxed and airy pub with plenty of room so you didn’t feel crowded by others"

"We were made welcome the moment we entered, shown to a table and given all the info we needed. There were lots of options both on the menu and the specials board for vegetarians and the food came in good time too! The plates were full and spectacular! Again, service was attentive and without fault. Our husky was made quite happy as well with water, a cuddle and a treat. What an amazing pub with sizeable parking by side. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We booked for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday for our granddaughters 10th Birthday. On arrival we thought the menu was small and limited. It was difficult for us to choose food the children would like. After two of us ordered bean chilli with rice we were informed they had run out of rice but offered us chips which we agreed to. Well the chilli was watery tinned tomatoes, chilli powder and 3 different types of beans. The chips were dark brown, overcooked, limp and reheated as were the chips served with the other meals. We were unable to finish our meal as it was the worst chilli I have ever been served. We were very disappointed with the quality of all the food and wouldn't recommend eating at this pub. I informed a member of staff of our disappointment in the quality of food and she said she would tell the chef but no-one from the kitchen spoke to us. Beautiful scenery but awful food."

"This was the first time I have ordered from this restaurant and, in all honesty, probably the last. For a little more effort and care I suspect this could have been a review full of praise. Instead I feel short-changed. The order was placed an hour before they opened and was subsequently accepted and the delivery time confirmed. The app was updated twice to delay the delivery by 15 minutes and then they didn’t bother to do this for a third time, just letting it arrive another 10 minutes later. So, 40 minutes late. Not a great start. When it was delivered it was in an open thin carrier bag, so little wonder it was barely tepid. I had to reheat the food, especially the thin chapatti which was just disappointing. As for the samosa, I was supposed to receive 3 for the £4.50 paid but, instead, I received 1 and they should have been described as mini samosas because they were the small ones you might purchase from a supermarket as part of a ready meal.Little wonder they don’t provide an image of all their food. The curries were very tasty but the whole experience was soured by the fact that delivery times meant nothing to this restaurant. No effort is made to keep the food warm meaning food has to be re-heated and, despite charging a premium price for samosas, they actually supplied 2 instead of 3 and these look like the mini samosas available in bulk from most supermarkets. I gave the restaurant a chance after receiving a leaflet but they need to up their game because there is a lot of competition in the area. With flavourful food, this experience could so easily have been a 5 star affair."
