Great food in a typical British pub . Service was friendly and portions good. Would recommend the pie “specials” . They had a veggie and a beef and ale option.

This is a great pub with many cozy corners perfect for a romantic date or a private meeting. They offer a wide selection of real ales. The food options appear to be of good quality, although I did not have a chance to try them myself.

was passing through, chanced it without booking for a Sunday roast. well it was a great pay off, that was an amazing roast... beef pink and full of flavour, gravy spot on, yorkie, vegs and roasters top draw. bar staff were lovely, even popped my head in the kitchen.... looks like there was only four of them running the show! well done guys. 10/10 thanks for squeezing us in. cheers

We were heading south on the M5 and looking for somewhere close by to stop off for dinner. After reading a few reviews online we decided to stop off at The Plough Inn and had a great evening meal. The food was proper pub grub well done (we had scampi and gammon) and it had a great atmosphere in an old traditional pub. I couldn’t believe how busy it was for a Thursday night and it was definitely better than the photos online. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Wish I had a local like this! Voir le carte

An unforgettable dish....I was still thinking about it the next evening! Last night's meal at the friendly restaurant, The Plough, was incredibly delicious. I couldn't get enough of the excellent chips and the superb 5-star cordon bleu Barnsley Chops, cooked perfectly to my liking - slightly fatty, juicy, and incredibly flavorful as lamb should be. I even took the second chop home to savor the culinary delight for longer. Thank you to everyone involved, from the chef and staff to the shepherd, and of course, the sheep itself for providing such a delicious meal.

Located in the heart of Congresbury and just a short drive from the main A370, this traditional pub offers a great beer selection and hearty pub food options. While it may not be considered "gastro", the food here is top-notch. The menu now includes a choice of three pies, all of which are delicious. I tried the Chicken, Bacon Tarragon pie and was impressed by the piping hot dish bursting with filling under a crispy puff pastry lid. The chips were cooked perfectly and the accompanying salad was a nice touch. My companion enjoyed the Beef Ale pie just as much. Overall, this pub is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a tasty meal in a cozy atmosphere.

We discovered this pub when visiting to watch the Morris dancing one evening. It has loads of atmosphere, with low ceilings, cosy rooms off the main dining and drinking area and a tiny bar which is approached on two sides. It's a very friendly, welcoming place, with a good selection of local beers, and as we wanted to support it we decided to come back for dinner the next evening. Would definitely recommend booking a table as most if not all were full quite early on on a Friday night. The menu isn't huge, but there is a specials board with a lot of choice we ate venison stew which was hot, hearty and very filling, leaving us with no room for pudding. Portions are very large!
