We are local to Chester and can easily say this is the best Sunday lunch there is. Well worth a visit ! Staff are great too!

Really nice meals. We said it would wait, but it wasn't that bad. Barman/Witter was friendly and attentive. Was a no of times and will definitely return.

Lovely place to eat. Don't take any notice of some of the negative comments and reviews. We found the staff and the food excellent. Yes, there are always things that could be improved in any pub/restaurant, but on the whole The Piper is a lovely place. Excellent value for money. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area. 10/10

From the moment we walked in, we received a warm welcome from the bar staff and the waitress. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend The Piper to everyone for their delicious lamb chops and homemade chips. I would definitely make the effort to come back for the same meal - it was incredibly delicious. Thank you to all the staff, greatly appreciated.

We came here after a day at Chester Zoo. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. The staff is especially the manager who was very child-friendly and gave the choice of board games and coloring of things. She also brought out a selection of beers to try before we chose one. Overall an excellent choice for a meal after a busy day. Will definitely come here the next visit to the zoo

We only recently started going to the Piper as it's under new management. The new landlords are lovely. They made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere is great. The food was excellent value for money and plenty of it! We will now be going on a regular basis. I know it had a bad name in the past but I would encourage anyone to give it another try. It's amazing how new management can make such a difference in the space of 3 weeks!
