"Dove’s brings a unique, lively Tex Mex flair to traditional diner food and vibes, and the service is excellent. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and come out fast. It’s kind of pricey, but the portions are large and filling and my group of 4 had some leftovers afterwards. Make a reservation if you can— seating is limited and it gets quite busy for brunch especially on weekends. Food I tried: Taco Norteno (4.2/5): The brisket in the taco was delicious, flavorful, and well seasoned, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the tortilla which felt too thick and dough y for me. Tlayuda (4.3/5): I enjoyed the crispiness of the tortilla and the freshness of the ingredients, though it could have used a bit more vibrant flavors. It was simultaneously light and filling. Brisket Hash (4.4/5): Great flavors all around. The potatoes were crispy and well sauced and the brisket was meaty and umami. Masa Pancakes (4/5): Probably my least favorite out of everything we ordered, but I’m also just not the biggest fan of pancakes. The flavors here were just okay. — Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5 Food: 4.2/5 Ambience: 4.8/5 Service: 4.8/5 Overall Value: 4.4/5"

"had a tasty Sunday dinner here at this weekend, that was the best. there was a good menu choice of roast, fish and vegetarian options. the meals were well presented and accompanied by a medley of fresh vegetables. I think the desserts, while there is a good choice, are a bit expensive. the waiting staff was more attentive than at the first visit. my only observation is that it does not seem to be a system of which are searched for tables and after the process. this has led to an earlier opportunity of bad service, but we decided to give the gloucester old spot another away, and we are glad that we did."

"It was absolutely lovely food and the waiting staff were above and beyond helpful in catering for our every needs but more especially for my son who has a complete nut allergy.....the chef had even offered to make a couple of different choices of sweets as some of the others had nuts in them. I have never been to a restaurant before that has been so accommodating. Well done to the whole team who ensured we had a memorable day"

"We always order from White Horse in Gloucester but unfortunately they were closed due to flooding. We ordered a delivery from here and firstly noticed it was in a bag half the size of our usual takeaway albeit a bit cheaper (although after they had added the delivery charge on it was the same). The portions were tiny but it didnt matter as the food was disgusting. The rice was an odd colour and congealed. The sweet and sour chicken contained more peppers than chicken, crispy chilli beef wasn't crispy and the chicken chow mein bland. I called the restaurant twice, the first time put on hold before I could utter a word then cut off and the second time the phone just rang and rang. The ONLY positive was the friendly delivery girl. Just awful, inedible slop. Avoid this place at all cost."
