The Oak - Carte

Nice to see our local buzzing last night for the Christmas switch on with Brindle Band. Went back today for a Christmas Fare lunch with friends excellent.

We had a fantastic dining experience at The Oak tonight. The food was delicious and fresh, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future.

My family, friends and myself have been visiting the Oak for lunch on many occasions over the past 10 months and I can honestly say we have been delighted with the food and the staff customer service. I can highly recommend the Oak. Voir le carte

We ordered two steaks and they were cooked perfectly, just as we requested. The chef brought out the food quickly and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience. The desserts were fantastic and delicious. We couldn't have asked for better service from The Oak. We are happy to say we will definitely be returning soon.

6 of us popped in today for lunch. 5 of us ordered off the Sunday menu and the oak let one of us order from the regular menu (which was appreciated) I had the beef Sunday roast and it was very nice decent amount of well cooked beef, tasty gravy and nice accompanying potatoes, parsnip, veg and Yorkshire pudding. Would def visit for Sunday lunch again

I had gammon, eggs, chips peas I paid extra for Stilton sauce, absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, huge portion I couldn’t finish the gammon, I’ve worked in restaurants im the worst critic but I could not fault my choice in anyway! Son opted for the beer battered fish, cleared the plate. Everywhere was spick span, service excellent we will return. Big thanks, very happy customers Voir le carte

I recently visited this pub for a Cup of Tea to warm up on a cold day. I was greeted by the Bubbly, Warm and Welcoming barmaid who mentioned that the pub was serving breakfast. Before I knew it I had been persuaded to purchase the pubs ‘signature’ breakfast. I was not disappointed. 3 sausage, 3 bacon, all the usual trimmings and they even swapped my black pudding for another hash brown. The place was clean and comfortable with a good atmosphere. Highly recommend

I hate writing bad reviews, but if you have worked all week and are wanting a treat on a weekend eating out somewhere then let this NOT be the place you go. Save yourself the stress and hard earned cash and make yourself a jam butty which im certain you will enjoy much more than this slop that was served up to me on Saturday. I will say no more believe me when I say I could) other than that at least the young girl serving behind the bar knocked the cost of my meal off the bill.

I was looking for a cozy, clean restaurant with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere, and this place exceeded my expectations. The service was fantastic, the restaurant was impeccably clean, and the food was very fresh. The menu wasn't too overwhelming, which I appreciated. I decided to play it safe and ordered a simple meal, but it turned out to be the best chicken burger I've ever had! My companion had the lasagna and said it was delicious. The garlic bread that came with it was also amazing. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future. Voir le carte
