Had some lunch here today with my husband the risotto is to die for the place is lovely with a great atmosphere very friendly staff and again the food is top quality would highly recommend and will defiantly be coming back thank you

Went in yesterday eve, no fire and cold. Come on NI first it’s smoke filling the room, now apparently a sensor going off... put a wood burner in, would solve all the issues... there was nobody in when we got there and a fire makes a cosy atmosphere...

We was surprised to see they didnt do a lunchtime menu it was rather a full meal or sandwiches. The sandwiches we ordered said ham salad sandwich, salad and chips. the salad was actually just a few leaves not a salad at all. This was a very expensive sandwich. Voir le carte

We stayed over on a Saturday night, we had a wedding reception at the village hall down the road. The barman was great from our arrival all through to breakfast. Breakfast was quality, loved my choice of scrambled eggs with salmon. Also a big well done must go to the very helpful housekeeper Emma.

We had Sunday lunch here today and it was just lovely. On arrival we were greeted by staff in a warm, welcoming manner, our lunch was beautiful, well cooked, served very quickly and piping hot. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing meal or night away. Thank you!

Went for dinner Friday 12th Jan on recommendation from a friend. Food was superb and service good. For the standard of cooking the prices were excellent and everything was well presented and portions ample. Between the three of us we had a good mixture of dishes from Fish and Chips to roast Partridge and couldn't find a fault. The Scotch Egg starter was, to me, a particular highlight. Crispy crumb lovely pork shel and a beautifully soft Egg. Will definitely go again. The shame was that it wasn't busier as it certainly deserves to be. Voir le carte

Went for Sunday lunch today. Been before although it was a couple of years ago. On arrival only two tables were eating. The restaurant was very quiet. Two staff working . We waited over an hour for our meals. Finally our meals arrived but only Luke warm. The presentation looked nice but that’s were it sadly ended. Such a shame . We were not offered any further drinks or deserts. Another table of four that came in shortly after us left after ordering, they waited over half an hour and still no lunch so they got up and left. Our Sunday lunch was a massive let down. Sadly will not be returning.

Never been before. What a joy, best Sunday lunch we've eaten for many many months. Very attentive, helpful and friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Comfortable seating, and OH what a perfect roast beef and massive delicious Yorkie puds, plus seasonal veg cooked to perfection, too many places grossly undercook veg; not at The New Inn. The roast pork was equably as good. How lovely to have Affogato for dessert! Plus really good selection of well kept cask beer. We all commented to each other how good the whole deal was and exceedingly good value for money. Keep up the good work. Highly recommend you visit.

I recently visited this restaurant for the second time, hoping for a better experience than my first visit about a year ago. Despite being recommended to give it another try, I was disappointed once again. The Prawn Bisque was overcooked and bland, while the Cauliflower Soup was average at best. Neither dish impressed. To top it off, they had run out of gluten free bread and Yorkshire pudding, which was not communicated until we were served. The Sunday roasts we ordered were mediocre, lacking in gravy and overall flavor.
