"I used to live near the new crown and it was one of many natives where I would often be seen. it's location near the coast sea and beach always made it a good place to visit during the summer or celebration, especially when outside where they can admire the intentionally. the vegan menu is extensive and so much worth for money. we ordered the buffalo flower wing, mushroom bouruignon pie and aubergine, butternut baking to share. every dish was absolutely delicious and fresh. not all we expected we had pub dishes before. for desserts we ordered the rhabarb, ingwerpudding and the cherry, chocolate cakes, which were well balanced in taste and simply divine. that was by far the best 3-course menu that I had one in a pub or restaurant. highly recommended."

when I was a child, this is one of our natives we would often visit, so it is great to see it now offers a good vegan menu! the vegan buffalo flower wings are luxuriant and I also enjoyed the vegan lasagne!

we had the vegan burger and the mushroom cake. as newly heated pub food goes, its fine. the meals were delicious and inexpensive. personal friendly and understand the vegan principle. a good choice if they are in the opposite and not a lust for a curry.

great selection of food and quality of the beer ales. we had a nice meal, all 3 of us enjoyed our eating we all ordered various foods it came from the same time and it was delicious. we will definitely enjoy another good evening of eating with good beer and great atmosphere. there are many rooms and staff are very friendly, not much more can they ask for and too much view of the south shields coast.

had friends visting north east and popped into the new crown hotel for a drink and lunch myself and friends liked the big pub great food menu good selection of drinks plenty of seating places plus games area for sports and a game of pool which we enjoyed lovely outside area to sit and have a drink with friends bar prices very good staff was very helpful we decided we will definatly come back and visit the New Crown Hotel
