"What a little gem “The Little Place Next Door” is. It’s a small cafe/restaurant with a pleasant extra room upstairs. The kitchen too is quite small but the chef manages admirably. We (a group of four) suddenly decided to go out for a Sunday roast at about 21:15 pm. The Little Place Next Door accepted our telephone booking and gave us a time when a table would be free. The staff were welcoming and our table was ready for us on arrival. There was a reasonable wait for our meals but as they were prepared to order, it was worth the wait. Although they had run out of desserts as it was later in the afternoon, the chef offered to make them fresh for us and they, along with the main courses, were delicious. I have to give a special mention to our young waitress, Sinead. She seemed a little unsure of herself when we arrived, but soon gained her confidence and was not only efficient but great fun too. I recognised a kindred spirit when she agreed that roast dinners should be accompanied by lashings of gravy but feel her life would be improved if only she could bring herself to like custard. Thank you Sinead for being a good sport."

We eat here so often that we feel like part of the furniture. The staff are so friendly that they feel like family. The food is second to non.

Thank you for a lovely breakfast that our family enjoyed whilst minibreaking in Folkestone this weekend. Great value and quaint little setting.

Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. I had avocado and feta with poached eggs on toast. Would definitely recommend. They do gluten free toast but a full English would be improved with gluten free sausages which are easy to get hold of.

we have let ourselves in for brunch, which really tasty and a nice healthy alternative to breakfast with fake meat. it consisted of avocado, cherry tomato, spinach, mushrooms, kartoffel rosti, baked beans and garnet brot, which was a good portion size for a reasonable £7:50. service was friendly and prompt, will definitely try again some other menu items as I noticed a nice looking homemade vegan black bean and beetroot burger on the menu. Excellent brunch in a 5* decor eating establishment in the heart of Folkestone! The full English breakfast was cooked perfectly and there was a wide choice. Ideal as they offered a small breakfast and deals with hot drinks, which was nice if you didn't want the portion of the larger breakfasts (this makes a change from most brunch cafes! . I'd definitely return to this friendly, cosy cafe to try the sweets and lunches. The upstairs area is pretty, arty and great for private groups or family parties.

"When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures. Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent. We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come. We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special. The food is delicious especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine. The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean. On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team. You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family run vibe. I am sure Costas is very proud of his team and what they have accomplished, and they fully deserve all of the praise and recognition they get. Parking: Facing the restaurant, to the right hand side is a small car park with a handful of spaces. Note that you should not park there before 6pm as I think it is shared with local residents. If you are not lucky enough to get a spot, try Manor Road we’ve never failed to find parking there."
