The Lighthouse Bistro

On a day trip to Whitehead, we came across the restaurant. Do not hesitate to eat here. We had: onion soup, lamb with cherry sauce, and the cheese board.. They were all MICHELIN STAR quality.

I had a lovely dinner in the Lighthouse Bistro. Everything was just perfect, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten in internationally. I highly recommend it for the whole dining experience.

Fantastic meal for a special family birthday . The food was stunningly presented , and wonderfully flavourful, delighting the vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. The house champagne was superb , as was the Austrian Riesling. An intimate, authentic welcoming atmosphere .

We dined again at this wonderful bistro. I had see bass and my husband had roast chicken, both cooked to perfection. This is such a great place in beautiful surroundings. I always look forward to the tasteful decor and warm welcome from lovely staff. Looking forward to next visit already.

Beautiful place to eat when you're in Whitehead for the walk and scenery. Advisable to book as very popular . My husband had fish of day and I'd seafood chowder. Both were mouthwatering dishes . The decor inside restaurant is very pretty but most of all we must congratulate the service. We always receive a warm welcome which brings us back once more to Lighthouse Bistro. Voir le carte

My friend and I made a reservation for lunch and I must say it was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the sea bass, which was probably the best I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly, with crispy skin and flaky white meat, accompanied by delicious baby potatoes, fresh greens, and a light dill cream sauce. My friend had the chowder, which was perfectly seasoned and filled with fresh shellfish and fish in a tasty creamy broth. I couldn't find any faults with this charming restaurant, even their coffee was excellent. I will definitely be returning.

I usually prefer not to leave negative reviews, but I was quite disappointed with my experience at the bistro. My husband and I both felt that the food was overpriced for the quality we received, and our chips and vegetables were undercooked. The portions were also on the smaller side for the price. The customer service was decent, but not up to par with what I would expect from a small, cozy bistro. No one checked on our table during the meal to refill our water or check on our food, and the setup of walking in the door straight onto customers' tables made the greeting and paying process difficult. My husband read the reviews about The Lighthouse in Whitehead just last week and decided we were obviously missing something on our doorstep. We decided to make a booking for Saturday evening, looking forward to an enjoyable experience. It did not deliver our expections at all or in any sense of the word. The choice of food was fine, the execution of the meal was not. My Husband ordered Chicken Supreme with tarragon and lemon cream sauce. The chicken was dry hard and tasteles devoid of any moisture.
