Ate in the restaurant. The food was good. Service a little slow. Enjoyed the sharing platter.

We stopped by for lunch and were impressed by the friendly staff and delicious food. We did not utilize the hotel services, but we would rate the overall experience as a 5 for both service and location.

Such a charming spot with a fantastic staff. The service is top-notch and the food is absolutely incredible!! Rooms were exceptional and the location was perfect. Highlights of the hotel include its peaceful atmosphere, child-friendly environment, and incredible value.

Went for a birthday meal, waited 30mins for waitress to take order then waited over an hour for the food to arrive. Then 2 orders were incorrect! Food below average at best. Waitress was useless. On the plus they gave us £60 off the bill and the pub itself is really nice. Will not be hurrying back for food ever. Service: 1 Location: 5

Really surprised how nice the room was. Never had food but they serve a good pint. One thing they should take into consideration is perhaps saving a few parking places for guests who are staying the night. Other than that its a nice little pub and would return if in the area again. Monday nights might be best avoided. Apparently deliveries are on Tuesdays so 3 items ordered were out of stock but was not informed of this beforehand. Staff polite but not attentive. When you sit down for dinner and the first thing you hear is a long list of not available meals and a list of the only last ones available does not set the right mood for the night. The food we could order was nice but we had to ask for drinks and we were just left. The management need to look at improving and stock up the kitchen. At the end both card machines run out out paper so no receipts. We will not rush back any time soon. Disappointing.

We spent one night at this hotel and dined at their restaurant. The bar was lively and parking was easy. We were promptly greeted and check-in was simple. This was the cheapest room we stayed in during our 18-day trip through England and Scotland. Our room was comfortable and even had a bathtub. There were plenty of outlets for charging our devices, and the radiator and towel heater worked well. Dinner was excellent, with attentive service from two young female servers. We enjoyed carrot coriander soup, sautéed mushrooms in creamy garlic sauce, lamb shank with herbed mash and green beans, beef lasagne, chips, and a fudge brownie sundae. Everything was delicious and we had a great visit.

Such a disappointment as it was my birthday as we had heard good reviews. To start we ordered a bottle of Argentinian Malbec between the two of us. We were given a French Malbec and told that it was the same and that the manager would come and speak to us. He came and gave us the wine that we had ordered after a long wait. We then ordered our food. We were told the dishes that were not available and ordered. After a while we were then told that one of our orders was out of stock. We then re-ordered and then waited for our food and waited and waited When asked where our food was we were told that there were “no chefs available” to cook our food an hour after we ordered it.
