"9.95 is quite reasonable for a meal in Keswick and my pasta, salad and garlic bread was OK for the money, just nothing outstanding, and the pasta portion could have been larger, although it did taste nice. I'd say to people to try The Honey Pot if you want a meal for under 10, just don't expect anything fantastic. Another thing, some people have complained about the attitude of the staff. I had no complaints about the waitress or the owner, who seemed pleasant. Also with COVID cases rising again, the staff wearing face coverings is a good sign in a busy resort like Keswick."

I visited this restaurant for a coffee, a hot chocolate, and a toasted tea cake. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and tidy. My only critique is that the tea cakes could have been slightly more toasted.

Called in earlier this week for a lite lunch and we weren't dissapointed in the least, their food is always fresh well cooked. The young girl that served us was really nice and could have been more helpful if she tried, well done to all concerned.

Food was mediocre and took a really long time to arrive although it wasn't particularly busy. The three meals were brought out separately with at least five minutes gap between the first and last. Not awful, but pretty disappointing and I wouldn't go back again Voir le carte

Pleasant Staff and Efficient. We called in for a drink and a rest after a hectic walk. The staff welcomed us and we were served in minutes. The service was second to none and the cost was fair. The place is spotless and well serviced.Well worth a visit in the heart of Keswick.

A photo says a thousand words. 1 sausage cut in half in a bun costing over £5 I ordered a toastie which was meh and kindly presented burnt side down. Coffee was also meh Long wait we appreciate the shortage of staff but it doesn’t justify the quality of food. I’m all for helping out local businesses, but give this one a miss, greggs does a better sandwich.

Looks good from outside shame the older staff member didn’t reflect that, not welcoming at all. Food does not match price and more representing a cheap road side cafe than a really good looking eatery. Two toasties arrived warm not hot, the cheese in one had not melted, limp and not that tasty. The young waitress was very good though and deserves to be employed by a place that matches her attitude and helpfulness. Would I use agai no Voir le carte

Have used the Honey Pot several times when visiting Keswick in July. When my husband was confined to a wheelchair this was the only place that he could access and the service could not have been better. All members of staff were friendly, polite and professional. The food was always freshly prepared, cooked to order, well presented and value for money. This year I was on my own and received the same level of service as previously. Cannot fault the service I received and will definitely use again when in Keswick.

Spent a week in Keswick in holiday and had lunch twice in the Honey Pot. It does not open in the evenings. We variously had panini with salad garnish (who knew panini could be more-ish? , jacket potato, baguette and chips. These may not sound like adventurous menu items but everything was done well. Generous milk portion with your hot drink. Quick service by mostly young staff despite busy custom. Only one men’s WC cubicle and one for women/changing/disabled but very clean, as was the whole cafe. Bright and friendly place with a few outdoor tables but mostly indoors.

"I would have loved to rate our dining experience at the Ivy House a lot higher but we were to leave somewhat disappointed. The dining area was pleasant and intimate with well appointed decor, the waitress and waiters pleasant, polite and attentive. The varied menu looked very appetising with most tastes catered for. We chose two courses from the main menu, the Duck Breast and a Fish Dish for myself. Contrary to other reviews we were to wait over 40 minutes before the food was presented to us. We were not advised of any delays or even the expected length of time we might have to wait. The food on arrival was well presented and flavoursome although I did not consider two small stem broccoli spears a serving. I also asked the waiter why there was no Samphire to accompany my dish as stated on the menu, this comment was also reinforced by a fellow diner who ate the same dish just prior to me. The waiter advised me that he would ask the chef. I did not receive a response to my question during further table service and subsequently asked the waiter again. On returning the waiter advised me the chef said “he will try to remember to put it on next time”, a somewhat disrespectful comment. The Cheese platter we were presented with was lacklustre and sparse, quince jelly and a small dish of chutney being the predominant feature. For ourselves we did not feel that our dining experience represented good value for money."
