Lovely food bangers n mash particularly , Also a very trendy bar which is what byres rd has been missing !!

fantastic new bar on byres road. cocktails on tap friendly atmosphere make this pub out of the rest in the western end.

if they have a good appetit, they go with the king of the burger. it's a little bit to blow. (caution: it's massive! the coffee was also great, don't miss it!

The food was good, with good sized portions. The wine, I'm told, was very good. I would have liked a larger selection of craft beers. Service was polite but a little slow, but the bar was busy.

the best bar stool in glassgow. (Joint winner with smoker fox). beautiful looking pub. lot, friendly, personal. reasonable prices. for the western end. I like it. it didn't eat, but eating looks good.

good location, beautiful interieur, but terrible eating. they have to get a new cook quickly. the menu was basic what would have been in its own no problem if done well. eating was terrible, very little taste and much too much fat. deception

only for a half of the apple wines today, although they had only one choice (strongbow fast apple). pleasant merciful, beautiful interieur, clean toilets. I stopped here because they had seats in the open, that's a decent area to sit outside and take the road. it was a nice day to chill with a more casual, but I didn't want to eat outside. I'd come back here and try the food.

down. hill. first time on Saturday visited for a pre-theater menu. décor was interesting, but unfortunately this is the only positive comment I can make. eating was inconspicuous and presentation was not existent. the bases lacked - no dressing on salat, a simple, dry morning roll served with the burger, no sauce with the mushes, piri piri huhn was minus the piri piri piri, but strange came with acidic seeing and eating altogether was lukewarm. the service was indifferent and took an inordinate long time to serve an indifferent meal. would definitely not recommend.

Have visited here a few rare occasions when dinning out food is what you would expect in a pub/restaurant though depending on your choice you can see the effort applied to presentation giving you the idea of it being restaurant rather than pub. The HILL can be a busy venue and does offer reservation if your looking to dine out over weekend. Also advise calling ahead if you are going mid week. I have visited when it's busy without calling ahead and lucky enough to be seated within 5 min and ordering food soon after.
