We enjoyed our drinks and lunch in the garden since all the tables inside were already booked, as it was a Saturday. I ordered the mushroom risotto and my partner had the cauliflower biryani, and both dishes were excellent."

This pub in Hampshire is the best. We had an excellent dinner last night for a party of 6. That's all you need to know. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. Superb food. Staff lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Our dog loved it too. Great to experience the relaxed atmosphere sitting next to the fire. Great beer and wine choices. Will definitely be returning.

I have known about this hidden gem since the early 1980s and have been frequenting it ever since. I have never been let down. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch, even during a busy week like this one due to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. If I lived closer, I would definitely dine here more often.
