The atmosphere is lively and it's a great pub for watching sports. However, the bar staff lacks good people skills and can be quite abrupt with customers who are not regulars.

last time i went in the service from the staff was pretty good even tho at the time it was that busy. and they also have a love large garden to sit in with shelter as well in case it rains

Found this to be a very friendly pub that we visited after work everyday this week, welcoming friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced. Large smoking area and pool tables, large screen TV everything we wanted Voir le carte

Had a joint 85th and 50th the day was perfect and this was because Donald and his team, Kirsty, Amanda and the boys did so much and couldn't do enough to help us celebrate. Thank you guys !! I have known this pub since the 80s, we held my parents 50th wedding anniversary party here. I received a friendly welcome from the girls on the bar. Had a couple more pints of London Pride, on pretty good form as us Camra members say. The roast lamb meal was generous with a good helping of gravy. I thought the carrots were tinned but I could be wrong. The chef asked if I enjoyed the meal and I certainly did. I get the impression the guys here are trying to build the business up and I think they will be successful.

Held dad’s memorial here following his internment of ashes. We were blessed, Don, Kirsty and their team were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble they laid out the food, made tea’s and coffee for whoever wanted, sorted out the slide show of pictures and the playing of a video that had been put on a memory stick. All this is private area with it’s own patio garden. I can’t recommend them highly enough, please check it out if you are looking for a venue. Lovely place to even go for a drink and catch up as they also have a lovely garden at the back. Voir le carte

I am grateful to Donald and the team at the Hare Hounds for making my daughter's Baptism celebration so special. They were incredibly helpful, professional, and made everything perfect. I had previously used the same private function room at the pub for my baby shower in February, and it was a great size with private outdoor tables. Donald provided background music and had a great selection. I would definitely use The Hare Hounds again for a function and would highly recommend it to friends and family. We had a fantastic day. Driven past the pub many times before and as we drove past today kids said they was hungry, so pulled over jumped out ran in asked if they was serving food to be told “yep” and then handed a menu. On quick glance spotted plenty of options for the kids and partner, called the rest of the family in ordered are drinks at the bar passed the menu to my partner who couldn’t decide out of 3 options. Narrowed it down to the sausage and mash! I ordered the steak and kids had sausage meal and cheese burgers! Ordered food came out in reasonable time and tasted amazing! We ordered a pizza and a chicken burger along with our drinks at the restaurant. Surprisingly, the pizza was served in a pizza box. When I requested a plate, we were given two paper plates. Fortunately, we had two plates as I had to share the pizza, which had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, the chicken burger I ordered was served in a takeaway box. It consisted of an untoasted white bun with a small piece of chicken on a few pieces of lettuce drenched in mayonnaise. I was not satisfied with the burger and returned it for a refund.
