"This place felt really unwelcoming. I stood around waiting to be acknowledged, and after being told, "just a minute," I watched the staff attend to locals instead. It seemed like a pub for the local crowd only. If they don't want visitors, they should stick to their regulars. I could sense an uninviting atmosphere as soon as I entered... and no, I didn't stay, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. Save your time for a better place. Totally disappointing! Lovely. They were happy to do an afternoon tea for a small group at 4.30 in the afternoon, the Sandwiches were great and the cakes were scrumptious, delicious in fact. Highly recommend trying it out. Service: 5 Location: 5

Ideal for anyone taking the King Alfred Way bike ride. The staff were incredibly helpful, allowing us to wash our bikes and store them in our room. The pub food was excellent, especially the steak and ale pie! The service was also top-notch. They had 6X on tap for drinks. What more could you ask for? Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5.
