"every time we visit, we are more and more impressed, eating and service was spectacular and after the return of barcelona I almost lost the belief in a chance to find a real paella and the one I had here proved wrong. we also tried the croquettes and kabeljau steak and lawd oh lawd it was immaculate. the fish was cooked to perfection and the taste-savings gave us almost a food gas. In summary, you can expect honest and handmade dishes of perfection. another really important aspect is the quality of the service we have received. everyone is very friendly and you know about the menu and recommendations are always on the spot."

It looks like a very nice pub log fire friendly staff until you try the menu it's amazing duck with red cabbage wow and the chorizo with prawns delightful looking forward to our second visit

great experience. had a nice lunch. beautiful, hairy young man was our server and he was charming. I used to visit this pub in the 1960s when I lived in the opposite. the first time back and was not disappointed.

The staff was very pleasant, the food was very good for the price, and the atmosphere was great. The customers were also pleasant. Although they were short-staffed this time, possibly due to the holiday, it is still a good place.

I visited The Gatehouse for the first time and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was wonderful with a historic setting. The menu was interesting and our waitress was charming and patiently accommodated all of our special requests. She also made sure to check on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I would definitely come back again.
