"This restaurant serves delicious food! I had the Bretton fish soup as a starter, which was delightful. My partner had the perfectly cooked and tasty mussels, of which I also stole a few bites. For our mains, I ordered the pan-fried chicken in a delicious morel sauce, while my partner opted for the monkfish. The flavors were amazing and we can still taste them lingering. We appreciate being able to bring our dog and feeling so relaxed. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dunkirk is now our favorite place to eat. Thank you for a great dining experience!"

"We were here for an early (5.30pm) midweek supper and we each had a super meal.I asked if the restaurant did a lamb karahi and was told that the meat would actually be mutton. Our waiter recognised that I was hesitant and sceptical, so he took lots of time to explain that the meat would be flavoursome and tender and then explained exactly how the dish was cooked and that the slow cooking ensured that the meat really would be tender. He convinced me, I ordered the dish and it was absolutely delicious! As promised, the meat was melt-in-the-mouth tender and it was actually more flavoursome than lamb. I can recommend it, with basmati rice.My dining companion had chicken madras with naan and he cleared his plate in no time. The restaurant has no drinks licence, so you can take your own beer/wine and they happily provide glasses (and no corkage fee).This means that an evening at Palace Tandoori not only means a delicious meal, but also excellent value for money, so it doesn 't have to be a restaurant that you save just for a treat . |It 's great."

"We visited last night with our two sons, and the food and service was amazing as always! We have been visiting for a number of years now and Andy and Pat and team always look after us. Be sure to let them know if you would like your food more spicey... as the standard dishes are prepared to suit the English palate.... where as we like plenty of spice, so we always ask for it 'Pat Spice ' which always does the trick!! Thanks again Andy, Pat and Team..... we are so lucky to have you guys in walking distance!"

"After previously giving this place a 5 star review after multiple good visits. Tonight I felt the need to amend my review. Booked in advance and arrived on time, had to wait 25 mins for a table, after ordering at the waiting area we were taken upstairs where there was not one other person sat down, it was empty. Why the delay? We eventually got our starters. Half hour later, because we were the only ones upstairs and forgotten about, they came with the mains. One of which had clearly been left waiting as was burnt and tough. Unusual for this establishment based on past experience. After 10 years of using this place with no issues, I could have overlooked this. But when it came to the bill, they insisted almost threateningly on cash payment. Like my card payment was dirty. Bitterly disappointed at the change in service and quality levels. Will not be returning any time soon unfortunately and as a place I have previously rated. Thats a big shame. Not sure why the insistance on cash after the service with no mention before or during. Was suggested to pay staff. But something does not sit right or comfortable."
