I have only been living locally for six months but have used this chippy a few times now.

Great Fish and Chips always a good welcome from the staff. Great prices. A joy to go to get my food always.

Just had a delivery from here chips where nice the sausage served here used to be delicious the ones we just got were horrible quality has really dropped sadly

We have been working in Stevenage for the past few weeks, so we tried FISH AND CHIP SHOP for lunch, the fish and chips were good quality and presented in a good card board box for eating on the go.

The staff and management at this restaurant are fantastic. The food is always prepared fresh and our child with coeliac disease is always kept safe when we dine there. It is one of only two places in the local area that we feel comfortable bringing her to. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Not only is the one of the two hotspots for gluten free fish and chips in Hertfordshire but the are actually the best chips! I can’t resist making a little detour to pop in if I’m coming from that direction, they are big, with a nice crunch and always fresh. Best eaten straight away and when you do, you’ll finish the lot. Whatever you do don’t change, because your chips are a winner.

Well it was the anniversary of misery this week. But all year The Old Town Fish Bar has been there day in, day out serving quite simply divine fish and chips.The food is the best and #1 in Stevenage is richly deserved. But the service has been ace. Matt and the team are there with a friendly smile which really cheers folk up. I heard of a chips shop offering gluten free fish and chips. I have been unable to eat gluten for a few years and didn't even know this was an option so I usually make my own. Good friday, I am unable to eat meat (christian). I called the shop to make sure they had GF fish before driving 15 mins to the shop which is in the next town. I was told they had it but I couldn't pre order, I had to just go and order in the shop. Well my husband and I went, waited in line from 19.00 until 20.30 and when we finally got to the till they advised they had run out of GF fish. I was absolutely livid!
