"This is not our first visit and it’s testament to a great pub that it’s a very popular venue. Always has local ales and the choice of food is absolutely excellent. I’d you’re into music, they have events going on regularly Service is second to none and the staff are friendly and efficient . Food and drinks prices are totally affordable and considering the quality of food it’s also surprisingly good value. Location is excellent and parking is no problem whatsoever. If the car park’s full there’s plenty of safe on-road parking outside as the village is quiet. Can’t recommend this place enough."

We like this village pub it has great character and a very good menu. Lunch is favorite for us and will be a regular treat as it is only 15 mins away. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

A very cosy out of the way pub. Our food arrived with very little wait it was very hot it very filling. My son really wanted a starter but couldn't see anything on their menu, so he settled with just a main. Voir le carte

Quirky local with great ales and fantastic food. Not expensive. Accommodating bar staff. My Wife ordered a two course meal but was full after the main. She opted not to have the dessert. Some lesser places would have still charged the full amount. Not these guys.

The food is ample and tasted okay but the presentation was disgusting, it was slopped on the plate and looked like left overs. My friends scampi wasn't cooked properly and needed to be recooked. When I complained all I was told was, oh I will tell them upstairs. Rubbish!

Due to a work placement in the village my wife and I visited here for 5 days consecutively, the service was exemplary, all the staff wore smiles, were polite, courteous and very professional. This is a very dog friendly pub with a large garden. The food although we didn't dine looked excellent, we only heard good reports during our visits. Live music is on regularly. It is well worth travelling to thus gem of a pub. Voir le carte

This place is fantastic; we always receive a warm welcome. My father-in-law frequents this establishment with his friends, and ever since he introduced us to it a year ago, we have returned several times for lunch. Both the bar and the restaurant have a charming atmosphere, and the food options are excellent whether you choose from the main menu or the specials. The desserts are absolutely delicious! The staff provides great service as well.

Excellent welcome from the friendly staff, large selection of dishes along with homemade selection from the board.Good choice of starters and puddings too. Wide range of kids meals that was not the run of the mill items you would normally seeDogs allowed in the bar and garden. There is live music held monthly, I believe too. This pub has at the centre of the village, with parking around the green at the front.Although quiet when we eat there, I would advise booking. We look forward to eating here again very soon.

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
