The Dowans - Carte

Cannot wait to revisit this wonderful place. Lauren and Steph are so committed to every guest’s comfort. The rooms are lovely, the staff is responsive and the food is incredible. We referred to the whiskey room as “Whiskey Heaven”!

A Great family hotel in the heart of Speyside. Our family group of 9 spent a lovely evening night in The Dowans Hotel, Aberlour. Rooms were good and clean. A fantastic whiskey selection for anyone so inclined. Followed by a lovely dinner. Superb ambience and an excellent location. Highly recommended.

Family run hotel,the very welcoming Murray’s and their staff can’t do enough for you,everything about the place is great warming! Upon arriving at the hotel, we were escorted to a lounge where we were served coffee while waiting for a taxi that the hotel had arranged for us. Both our dinner and breakfast during our stay were excellent, made even more enjoyable by the outstanding service provided by the staff. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers.

Came here for dinner on Monday 3rd with a friend for dinner and drinks. As always the food and drinks were excellent as was the atmosphere, especially for a Monday! Cameron looked after us and deserves a mention because his service was brilliant. Cameron was polite and efficient and his personality really came through in his service. Will be back soon!

I was delivering luggage here but had been on the road for quite a while so was feeling hungry. I asked if they did lunch but I was too early. However the staff served me regardless which was really kind of them. I had stuffed chicken thigh and veg which was absolutely delicious. It's a beautiful place and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Voir le carte

Beautiful old world hotel run by a very friendly and efficient team. The charming interior style in the bar area is really impressive, and the large whiskey selection displayed in floor to ceiling glass cabinets is quite something to see. We had the most beautiful freshly baked scones, which must have been made using someone's granny's recipe, they were the best I've had in scotland so far. They come highly recommended!

I have no shame in admitting that I found Dowans Hotel through a Bravolebrity's Instagram page. My spouse and I were planning a trip to Speyside for our honeymoon, and I was thrilled to secure the last room available after seeing the stunning photos online. The hotel surpassed our expectations and we had a wonderful stay in the Glenlivet room. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive and friendly, and we highly recommend including this hotel in your Highlands vacation plans!

we came to highlands to eat in the macallan distillery at midday, which was visited by usa. I was looking for several accommodations to find a comfortable place for the night. I have chosen dowan mainly from the images of the outer. a lot to our joy was our stay a highlight for our long stay in Scotland. the hotel is beautiful inside and outside. the owners, especially laura, are very welcome. the food was excellent and the room was very comfortable. the personal is friendly. we made the whisky tasting with becky. they provided more knowledge and information from other whisky tastings we had made. this place is a true jewel in the highlands. make sure to take the walk to the waterfall. our s...
