The Dapper Spaniel - Menu

First time I ordered a takeaway and my order was not accepted and declined as informed by Just Eat. Ordered well before 4pm but took until gone 6pm for them to decline.

I don't usually write a review, but when I do, its because I visited The Dapper Spaniel and was blown away by the quality of the food and the service!Fantastic night, could not rate them highly enough. 100% will be back very soon.Thanks guys!

My husband and I visited on the steak and seafood night. All of the food was beautifully cooked, well presented, and perfectly portioned. It was obvious a lot of care and detail had gone into the menu, we can’t wait to go back again!The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was well spaced out and cleanly. A brilliant experience all round.

Went there as part of the eat out to help out offer. We had a mixture of steaks and pizzas between us. Steak was cooked perfectly and the pizzas were a good size. With all the covid restrictions we were nervous about going out. Especially after our experience elsewhere. Their procedures in this respect were really good and we were able to easily relax.I would recommend this place to anyone.

Came here the other day for dinner and had a really lovely evening. Such a nice atmosphere! Service amazing, all the staff are so helpful and friendly with a smile on their face at all times, and the food was delightful! Used the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and got 3 courses for £10!! Amazing. Love the fact that it's dog friendly also. : Would definitely recommend to others, and visit again myself!

Still continuing the eat out to help out we visited here on Friday night with an expectation that maybe the food wouldn't be so good as they are taking a hit on profit. How wrong we were. Most of our table had the Braised Beef Ballotine which we all agreed was absolutely delicious, couldn't fault it in any way, one of those meals were you don't want to talk, you need to savour the food. The service was perfect, not in your face but there if wanted and very professional/ friendly.Lovely evening.

We have visited The Dapper Spaniel on a few occasions now and have never been disappointed. The food is very reasonably priced for the standard and quality of the dishes. The Sunday lunches are the best I 've had, and it 's nice to go out and not have standard 'pub grub ' but something of restaurant quality in a lovely village pub.The staff are friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere in the pub is very relaxed.I highly recommend The Dapper Spaniel, and I feel it is definitely worth the extra travel as we live outside of Nottinghamshire.We look forward to coming back soon

We visited during eat out to help out so the meal was effectively half price but it was still not worth it.The service was pleasant and efficient. The starter and dessert were ok but the main course was a burger which was terrible. The burger was like dried rubber and had no caramelisation as if it had been boiled or microwaved. It was the worst burger I have ever had, cheap and nasty. It had smoked brisket with it and that had no smoky flavour and was one third yellow fat. The supposed “ triple cooked chips” appeared to be frozen chips. We were given someone else’s bill.I will definitely not be returning.

We popped into the Dapper Spaniel for dinner during our weekend away in the surrounding area. It was about halfway around our walking route (Fiskerton Morton Rolleston) so was a perfect rest stop for a few pints and a bite to eat.The staff were lovely and very helpful. They always made sure we had everything we needed and were very welcoming. Our little pooch had a great time as well!The food was great and they had plenty of veggie/ vegan options for us awkward herbivores not always easy to find in more rural areas. The pints were perfect The pubs accommodating nature, delicious food and drink (as well as the fact it was slinging it down outside) kept us in there all afternoon enjoying ourse...
