"My work team went to the Crown Tavern during Clerkenwell Design Week (Thursday 25.5.23 , it was packed but they had loads of people serving behind the bar so we always got served quickly, even thought the bar was really busy. The staff were lovely, but special shout out to the woman in a checked shirt with her hair in two buns. I ordered a gin and tonic and another elderflower tonic. She asked if the elderflower tonic was a spare to go with the gin or if I needed another glass. I said the elderflower one was a separate drink for a friend who was pregnant.... so the women behind the bar went round the corner and came back with a lovely glass full of nice fruits to make the tonic special for my pregnant friend! So lovely, a little extra touch but my friend (the only one not drinking while we all enjoyed a summer celebration! loved it. Thank you!"

Favourite pub in Clerkenwell. Fabulous outdoor courtyard, excellent staff and food. Been coming here for years and always a pleasure to see familiar faces. Thank you Simon and team. Oh, and French Fizz Friday is amazing!!

Had a lovely dinner date with the girlfriend and was greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service from the bar staff and the food is amazing we had the sausage and mash with delicious dessert will definitely be coming back

Great London pub which retains that London pub charm. Lovely outside space to make the most of a fine autumnal afternoon. Great selection of beers. Had the Tuesday night burger with a free drink which was great value and delicious. Voir le carte

Great atmosphere, everyone seems to be having a great time. Had a couple pints, one of which was Guinness (as expected it was perfect) as well as a pint of purity ipa (hazy I believe) which was wonderful. Had the chicken burger which was absolutely lovely. Thanks to the team!

Amazing Sunday roast. Had the nut roast and it was amazing parsnips and carrots were cooked to perfection not too hard not too soft lovely fresh greens and the Yorkshire pudding was huge perfect thanks to the girl who served us short blonde hair very efficient thanks defo returned

Great traditional pub with a good selection of craft beers. The food is excellent delivered to your table reasonably quickly. I highly recommend the fish chips, it was very tasty!! They also offer a small selection of desserts too. If you are in the Clerkenwell area, pop in as the atmosphere is chilled the staff are friendly attentive Voir le carte

The family met some friends for lunch here and we were very happy to have done so. Everyone loved their dishes, lovely sausage and mash, a virtuous and tasty salmon salad, a several perfect fish chips! The vibe was a good one, food came to the table quickly but then we were left to enjoy and socialize with our friends. No rush anywhere. Glad we went to the Crown Tavern and 10/10 would repeat.

This is a lovely little pub, fantastic atmosphere with a great selection of drinks and delicious food. I can highly recommend the baked camembert and pie! All the staff were friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Simon, who was particularly great when helping us decide which gins to try! Nice outside area to relax in and dog friendly, which is always a good thing in my book. We will definitely be back again.
