stopped on route for light lunch. Very friendly staff. Had a nice toasted ham sandwich and basket of chips, lots of chips and a pint on the patio.

We like popping into The Crown, it is so welcoming plus it is dog friendly. We ate in the garden as it was very hot. Our food was delicious and the helpings were generous. Many thanks for making us all feel so welcome. See you again soon.

We stayed here for a one night stop over in our motorhome along with 2 lots of friends in their vans. We sampled the amber nectar during their lunch time, we were made very welcome by the owners and staff , unfortunately we were too late for a lunch time snack. The evening meal was excellent served by smiling staff who were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return in the near future on our travels. Voir le carte

Oh joy to be served, fluffy crisp chips, I had almost forgot how good they can be when they are cooked correctly. They were not good but superb. Good friendly staff and freshly cook food. A couple of us had the superfood salad one with chicken and one with Goats cheese, Super The children's pizza where all freshly cooked All reasonable priced too Great pub food ample servings, well cooked and presented. Highly recommended

I had a wonderful experience at this pub. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the landlady was fantastic - very hands-on and welcoming. The food was excellent, especially the traditional pub fare. The Sunday lunch was one of the best I've had, especially the sharing option which includes extra dishes like cauliflower cheese. The welcome was warm and fuss-free, with plenty of attention to the guests. Definitely worth a visit.

This pub is absolutely delightful. We received a warm welcome and were seated even though we didn't have a reservation. The staff was friendly and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch and a classic meal, both of which were outstanding. The Sunday roast was especially excellent, perfect for those with a big appetite. We were really to get there for an evening meal, the landlady said the chef was in so no problem. The food was great from starter main course to dessert. With free entertainment thrown in as well. She was finishing of the Christmas decorations and used me as a steading person as she climbed up to put them up. She even gets the men in the bar along with her husband to go get the logs to build up the fire for a very warm welcome which was so nice on a chilled evening. The Staff are always friendly, and it is good food which is why go back time and again

Our friends who live in the village raved about the amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant, so we decided to join them this weekend. And we were not disappointed! The Sunday lunch options included your own roast dinner or a roast dinner sharing board. We opted for the board and were impressed by the generous portions of beautifully cooked vegetables, stuffing, yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, and more. The beef and chicken were both tender and flavorful. It is evident that the chef puts love and care into every dish. The landlady, Jen, was also wonderful, ensuring that all guests were well taken care of. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We met with my brother and sister in law who were staying overnight in their camper van. We hadn't seen them for over two years and the evening was just wonderful. It's a traditional English pub so it is comfortable and relaxed. The food was typical pub food but well cooked and delicious. The thing that made it so special was the friendly efficient service by the two young ladies who looked after us and then left us to hog the table in the dining room well into the night as we reminisced and reconnected. Okay the dining room wasn't busy as it was mid week but we didn't order many drinks because of having to drive etc but we never felt that we were outstaying our welcome or making too much no...
