I met some friends here for pre christmas food and drink. The food was great rhe service attentive and the atmosphere really good. Going again with different friends this week ;o)

We had a late lunch the week after New Year's, so the restaurant was very quiet. The food was very good overall. We had pea and ham soup, delicious fish and chips, and a perfectly cooked rump steak. The steak was cooked rare, just as we had requested, but it was a bit fattier than usual. Hopefully, the chef will address this with the supplier. There was a group with learning difficulties dining at the same time, and I observed that they were treated with respect and kindness.

What a wonderful place! The venue was charming, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Mary, who greeted us and showed us to our table, was lovely. The food was piping hot, nicely presented, and the portions were generous. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server, Brookton, was polite and pleasant throughout the meal. We were all very impressed with his service. We had a Christmas business lunch at this restaurant, meeting halfway in Banbury after traveling long distances. It was definitely worth the journey.
